Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on his Twitter page reacted to the decision of the President of the United States to declare Jerusalem as the occupied Palestinian capital.

If half of the money spent by some governments in the region to encourage terrorism, extremism, sectarianism, and incitement against neighbors would have been spent on liberating Palestine, we would not have faced this American arrogance, which is trying to enshrine "the promise of those who do not belong and do not deserve it." Nevertheless, Jerusalem remains an Arabic-Islamic entity.

Believe it or not iran may be the biggest winner here

The U.S declaring Jerusalem as israels capital has no effect on the ground or legally, so tomorrow will be no different to today

but one of the biggest blights on the middle East is the U.S influence on arab nations

Prior to todays announcement the Saudis, Egypt even the wider GCC were all involved in a shadowy coming together of minds with both Saudi and israel taking the lead against IRAN


Israel in the past has relied on american prestige and influence to try and further its own goals in the middle east

for no good or reasonable reason Trump has decided to spend more American prestige on a dum declaration about Jerusalem that will needlessly inflame the arab and Muslim world and reignite anti israel emotions

so the recent detente between Arabs and israel gets derailed or sidelined at a minimum and allows iran to grandstand and stay on course

@Saif al-Arab The Saudis and other arabs now having been slapped again are stuck if they carry on israeli relations covertly they risk being found out at a emotional time and if they release too weak statements they get declared the dickless clowns they are whilst iran turkey etc take the lead


strange as it is snd although right wing in israel may want this
