Iran witnesses 46pc growth in electricity exports
Tehran, Aug 1, IRNA Ministry of Energy reported Wednesday that Iran's export of electricity to the neighboring countries has witnessed over 46 percent increase since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 20) compared to the corresponding period last year.
Iran exported 3,949 gigawatt-hours electricity during the said period from 2,701 gigawatt-hours last year.
The Islamic Republic of Iran exchanges energy with Armenia, Pakistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Afghanistan and The Nakhichevan Republic.
