Iran ‘ready’ for joint anti-terror operation after deadly ambush in Pakistan

This has happened before and probably will happen again. Foreign funded groups in Baloch region have no future. They are a dying breed.

It's not about right or wrong it's just reality.

Iran has no conflict with Pakistan but has become tired of their two faced and inept character.

The Iranian viewpoint is broadly as follows:

1) Pakistan is too poor and unstable to commit to establishing law, order and development in areas bordering Iran which has resulted in an abdication of the state in these places.
2) The dereliction of government duty and absence of an effective police and justice system has opened up space to criminal safe havens close to the Iran border, enabling havens for traffickers and terrorist groups to exist within Pakistani territory.
3) The absence of an educational infrastructure on Pakistani territory near Iran has enabled the proliferation of seminaries operating under the guise of religion but indoctrinating boys and young men in extremist beliefs that result in readily available recruitment for Taliban and other terrorist movements.
4) Pakistan is an untrustworthy and weak country that succumbs easily to foreign bribes from states hostile towards Iran like Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the US who have vested interests in helping prop-up anti-Iran groups from within these ungoverned spaces in Pakistan and take full advantage of this by bribing Pakistan to look the other way.
5) There is suspicion in Iran that some Pakistani religious organisations that operate seminaries in your Balouchestan and are known to have been long time supporters of the Afghan Taliban have links to Saudi Arabia and anti-Iran groups and give them support, with the full knowledge of your intelligence services which turns a blind eye.
6) Iran has signed many MoU's with Pakistan for active border security cooperation over the past 10 to 15 years, but nothing has come of them. There is no expectation left in Iran that future understandings will prove different from those made in the past.

These cover most of what the Iranian view has been for a very long time regarding it's security issue with the Pakistan border.

It is for those reasons that Pakistan is the only country bordering Iran that we have built a concrete wall with where it has been possible to do so. The vision during the Ahmadinejad era was that the entire border with Pakistan would have a 900km long concrete wall along it. Iran also has an unofficial shoot-first policy when it comes to the Pakistan border. This situation exists for a reason. It is not something that Iran takes lightly.

Your newspapers often report things like the below for example.

Iranian guards kill two for illegal border crossing bid
November 12, 2018

GWADAR: Two Pakistani nationals were killed and four sustained injuries after Iranian border guards opened fire when they were trying to illegally cross the Pak-Iran border along the Prom area of Balochistan’s Panjgur district on Sunday.

According to the Levies officials, a pick-up carrying seven people was trying to cross the border when the Iranian border guards opened fire on it.

The people travelling in the vehicle hailed from different areas in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Two of them were killed and four suffered injuries. The only person in the vehicle who remained unhurt was its driver, they added.

They said the seven people were trying to cross the border without legal documents.

The bodies and the injured were taken to the district hospital.

The deceased were identified as Abdullah from Kech district of Balochistan and Nawaz from Mohmand tribal district of KP.

This is your viewpoint not the 'Iranian' one, I'll show why later.
Now I'll reply to your points;

1) Pakistan is too poor and unstable to commit to establishing law, order and development in areas bordering Iran which has resulted in an abdication of the state in these places.
Pakistan is a developing state and the law and order situation near Iran's borders is a focal point, but it will take time to for infrastructure to be built in order to improve the situation. This is a valid point as Pakistan has neglected the region over the years.

The dereliction of government duty and absence of an effective police and justice system has opened up space to criminal safe havens close to the Iran border, enabling havens for traffickers and terrorist groups to exist within Pakistani territory.

I addressed this above and it is something Pakistan is working on.

3) The absence of an educational infrastructure on Pakistani territory near Iran has enabled the proliferation of seminaries operating under the guise of religion but indoctrinating boys and young men in extremist beliefs that result in readily available recruitment for Taliban and other terrorist movements.

Religious seminaries no longer have the free reign they did and now are being bought under the control of the government and the formal education structure of the country. But yes there were problems associated with these seminaries.

Untrustworthy, then you best get on the phone to Tehran then and ask why Pakistani delegations are being shown around sensitive research and development establishments;

According to the public relations department of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, a Pakistani military delegation visited Shahid Sattari University of Aeronautical Engineering or Air University in Tehran on Tuesday

https://en.mehrnews.com/news/140428...egation-visits-Iran-s-aeronautical-university

Why the highest ranking Iranian military officials visited Pakistan recently and continue to do so;

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri arrived in Pakistan on Sunday, while leading a high-ranking military delegation

https://en.dailypakistan.com.pk/pak...ommander-due-in-pakistan-for-three-day-visit/

Remember what I wrote about your view, not Iran's, here is it is.

Pakistan is not weak, that's not even worthy of a response. As for trust, you might want to look at our little mutual friend Kulbhushan Yadav and his extra-curricular activities.
What about the arrest and extradition of terrorists to Iran, what of the rescue of Iranian troops?

Pakistani security forces on Thursday safely recovered five of the 12 Iranian border guards who were abducted by militants last month from Lulakdan area near the Pak-Iran border.

https://www.dawn.com/news/1445786

This isn't trust?

Pakistan does not succumb to foreign bribes, and the biggest evidence of this is Pakistan's neutrality regrading the Yemen war, even though massive pressure was put on Pakistan to take the Gulf coalitions side.

I addressed this as well, but these seminaries links with anti-Iran groups are weak at best. Their primary focus has been and is the Afghan conflict. Had Iran been in their sights, things would be far worse than they are. The fact that Pakistan is able to arrest wanted suspects in Iran and send them over, and rescue Iranian troops with little back lash shows these groups are not strong.

6) Iran has signed many MoU's with Pakistan for active border security cooperation over the past 10 to 15 years, but nothing has come of them. There is no expectation left in Iran that future understandings will prove different from those made in the past.

Things will improve, it's been neglected in the past and is now being worked on.

It is for those reasons that Pakistan is the only country bordering Iran that we have built a concrete wall with where it has been possible to do so.

There is no problem with this.

You dont know us man. I go by the statements of Iranian officials and what is talked and discussed about in Iranian circles. For example the statements that Alavi and Rezaei made just the other day:

"Iranian Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi has accused intelligence services of Iran’s neighbors, as well as those of countries farther afield, of being directly involved in actions against Iran's national security."

"Alavi's comments echoed previous remarks made by former commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the influential Expediency Discernment Council (EDC) and former chief commander of the IRGC, recently said U.S. intelligence agents have infiltrated the government of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

He also accused Saudi Arabia of setting up military bases in Iraq's Kurdistan and Pakistan’s Balochistan Province to destabilize Iran."

Those points i gave to you before are what the general Iranian perspective is regarding Iran's border problem with Pakistan and our view of the criminal and terrorist havens across that border. None of the links you shared mean anything or are relevant to this issue. Of course Iranian military and other officials are going to pay a visit to Pakistan after cross-border attacks on Iran take place from there. It even says in that link you shared that Pakistan invited Bagheri to go there and talk about security issues, so what is he going to do? Say no? Iran does not consider Pakistan an enemy that it will refuse to talk to them. For this border and terrorism problem we have with you Iran considers Pakistan to be an inept nuisance at best, and a two faced irritant at worst. But not an enemy so far. That's basically what Iranian government and military officials have been depicting for about 11 or 12 years now.

The first of such public condemnations against Pakistan as a haven for anti-Iran terrorists were made around 2007 if i remember correctly during the main Tehran Friday prayers by Ahmad Khatami who is a deputy of Khamenei. Since then there have been regular public condemnations every time this stuff happens by everyone from clerics, to MPs, to Ministers, military officials and even the President (Ahmadinejad) lambasting Pakistan to the Iranian public over anti-Iran terrorist safe havens in their country close to our border.

There has even been arranged demonstrations at Pakistani consulates where the Pakistan flag has been burnt by basijis and rocks and bricks thrown at the buidings. This stuff doesnt happen without approval in Iran.

We need to secure this border. Either Iran or Pakistan has to kill these terrorists immediately. They must die because they are creating problems between two neighbors.

Back in the 70's we cooperated with Pakistan to kill these chaghu kesh, loch, kharab kar, drug dealer type terrorist people.

Sounds like another joint operation is required here.

These harami people are killing innocent people because of foreign funding! We will act whether the US and sawdi's like it or not.

Time to start killing some terrorists.
I wish you had the same positive attitude toward us when these same Nuthead terrorist killed your border guard soldiers in the past. When that happens you and your countrymen start bashing our country in an instance calling us terrorist safe heavens and so on.Some of your countrymen even go to the extent that Iran should attack Pakistan and hit supposed safe heavens of terrorists.
Terrorism has no region. Its a cancer. Its a scorpion that bites everyone. Hope you understand it now.
Nobody in Pakistan Wants any Irani Soldier or Irani National any Ill will. Yet we get so much hate from you even though our security forces have no fault in the attacks on your forces. Infact we have lost more then 10,000 Soldiers to terrorists.
Only united we can defeat them instead of blaming each other.
The Intelligence and Counter Intelligence operations of our Agencies is no different then all the shadow operations carried out by any Intelligence apparatus of any country defending itself to covert ops of its Enemies. Yet we are singled out. And its sad to see that Iran, once one of our closest Allies follow the narrative of our enemies word by word and ignore us altogether.
Realize it that the way you feel about USA and Israel we have a similar Hostility with India for many reasons. And the concerns you have with us for having relations with USA is same concern that we have with your relations with Indians.
We should be Allies like we were in 60s and 70s. And Stop Foreign relations of each others with other countries dictate our relations. You can keep Indian Relations and we can keep US and Saudi Relations and keep it out of our inter relations and work toward a safe region for both of us.

Iran can't depend on Pakistan to secure its border with Iran. Pakistan is a poor nation that depends on Saudi money to keep from turning into a failed state. The Saudi funded terrorists will always have a home in Pakistan and that is a reality that Iran has to come to grip with!

What do you mean by thinned out forces? Crime is an issue for the police to deal with, not the army. Where are the Pakistani police on that side of Balouchestan?

We are talking about Terrorist and smugglers not sure about Iran but our borders aren't protected by police. Last I checked these terrorist came from Iran, so you tell me where is your border control?

Smugglers are for Pakistani police to deal with. What Iran wants to do is destroy the terrorist safe havens of Jeash al-Adl inside Pakistani territory as that is now beyond a criminal matter and has become a military issue for the IRGC.

This is really not a difficult problem to solve.

This is what happens when people that don't have a bloody clue start talking on the subject, smugglers coming in and out of Iran are Pakistani police issue? do you know that most of those smugglers are in business because of corrupt Iranians officials.

Indian intelligence agents operate from Iran against Pakistan with complete immunity and you are here telling us we are the problem, Iranian help for NDS is no secret and they are the biggest terrorist group that attacks Pakistan and you are bloody telling us we are the problem.

Those so called terrorist group you want to attack with in Pakistan are financed and supplied by Indians, you know the ones who come of the boat with weapons and money and you cant see.

Iran can't depend on Pakistan to secure its border with Iran. Pakistan is a poor nation that depends on Saudi money to keep from turning into a failed state. The Saudi funded terrorists will always have a home in Pakistan and that is a reality that Iran has to come to grip with!

Iran is Rich nation we get it, then you should have enough resources to protect your border.

Bro Iran is happy to cooperate in killing these bastards. In the last joint operation in the 70's we sent our cobra gunships and Huey and chinooks to kill them all, but they ran inside Afghanistan. Thousands were killed though.

This time the problem is political more than the will to kill them all. Your government won't allow it. We are ready to genocide these bastards. We already have on our side. These guys kidnap our border guards for ransom so we can release their drug dealer relatives from Iranian prisons. These are all Pakistan baloch criminal people who are rotting in our prisons for serious drug related crimes. More than even the baloch people it is the Afghani which clog up our jails. 100's of thousands of Afghani are incarcerated in Iran for drugs, people and weapons smuggling crimes.

Pakistan should do a combing Operation in Sistan and Balochistan.

Terrorist enamating from Iran post a threat to Pakistani Peace Initiatives.

Pakistan can't depend on Iran to secure its border with Iran. Iran is a Mullah run isolated country that depends on Indian money to keep from turning into a failed state. The Indian funded terrorists will always have a home in Iran and that is a reality that Pakistan has to come to grip with!

Fixed.

please stop this provocative behavior towards pakistan.if you think that problem is only on our side than you are mistaken.you should ask one question to your intelligence.who gave the iranian passport to kulbhushan yadav? dude this is a serious issue and we don't trust iran anymore.i don't care about what your generals think or are their planning to attack?i think they are wise enough to decide.you should control your border.how on earth you can make iranian soldiers unconscious? they are soldiers right? i mean iran needs more training when it comes to recruitment.you can't hire a kid to protect your border.it's your problem.you also said that your generals are willing to do something about this probem.tell irgc to go ahead.do whatever you want.i believe that there is hate on your side.and iranian burned pakistani flag because your government and army wanted it? right? dude you can't burn a pakistani flag in karachi.i don't knowabout entire pakistan but you can't burn my flag here in karachi.as i said earlier, you can't do things here which you do in iran.pakistan has an active army and we have fantastic air force.stop hiring kids as soldiers.

Those are my own words.
the sad thing is Pakistanis, don't want to accept realities.
If you want to see realities, ask your three neighbors what they think about Pakistan and Pakistan policies.

Why we don't have same problem with Iraq or Afghanistan, or why Afghanistan has not have same problem with Turkmenistan or similarly for Indians.

Why every body in your borders have problem with Pakistan????
lol now some one from Iran will tell us how we are perceived by our three neighbors:rofl::rofl:

first go and ask the whole world how they perceived Iran half of your problem will resolved.:enjoy:

I wonder how shameless some iranians are when the whole world kick their asses they comes to Pakistan for begging good relations and on the other hand support indian terrorists like Kulboshan to openly work against Pakistan in the name of Chabahar shit.
