What's new

Iran is top drone power in the ME

yes a cheap propaganda toy that can fly and go bomb targets 700km away and then return and land at the base without even a single input from controller and don't get detected by USA base just 3 km away

Hear! Hear!

00.41 Its not even a real bomb ...... wings of so-called bomb are shaking like a leaf

That's what it's like when it's just dropped, because of air turbulence. Afterwards it stabilizes in flight. It's physics.

only in your fantasy world .......

air turbulence for a real bomb or fake carton bomb ?
no more discuss with TROLLS

I follow the title from first msg. We still haven't seen MALE class UAV systems with Satcom capability of our Iranian air force... We have seen things mainly under 10 meters of wingspan. Also we didn't get any information about the avionics in these tactical systems. I no longer want to ask the names of the systems in classes, numbers and the total flight times. The unknown factor is good, I can understand. But why do we have a title like that?

They don't have satellite. The strikes in Syria were done either by remote control from within 200 km or by autopilot in the case of Saeqeh strike last month.

I can understand. But why do we have a title like that?

Because it is true. Iran is the only ME country that has operational jet powered low RCS UCAV that have internal weapons bays.

Can you tell us about this UCAV? What is the wingspan, operational flight time and internal load capacity? And have any operational experience? Is there a source for the model and production information of the core engine used? Is there any information on open sources about at least major avionics packages, such as the autonomous landing take-off system or the IRST systems? I hope you're not talking about the mini delta wing on that back page.

you see there is no point producing a system that we don't have right now so we use alternate way to achieve that , but it won't mean we are not ready to use those technologies , we previously have modified Shahed-129 to be ready to be equipped with Satcom in 2016 we produced the 4th generation of Shahed-129 equipped with those technologies
https://mideast.liveuamap.com/en/2016/11-february-iran-presented-4th-generation-of-its-shahed129
https://www.uasvision.com/2016/03/01/iran-has-a-new-redesigned-shahed-129/

and yes we have UAV with more than 10m of wingspan ,Shahed-129 have a wing span of 16m
Fotros and Simorgh are supposed to have wingspan around 20m
our karar drone can drop an mk-82 bomb 500km away and fly with the speed of 900km or it can carry 2 anti ship missile like Kowsar or Nasr-1

and as I said you can't find a single day that our drone didn't fly over Syria or Iraq

only low IQ monkeys n.koreans, chinese, etc believe liar persians and cheap persian proganda

turboprop engine sound in 00.03 seconds ......... pathetic low IQ monkeys
turbofan engine sound in in 00.05 seconds ........ what a joke

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news my turkish chum, but there no "proganda" persian or otherwise,or even propaganda for that matter[lol!].Theres two different engine sounds because there were at least 2 different drone types used, one was the smaller prop powered flying wing with 2 externally mounted glide bombs and the other was the full sized jet powered version with the enclosed internal weapons bay mounting 2 glide bombs.....pretty simple actually...if you bother to watch the video, that is.
In fact here are some stills from the video showing the 2 different types of drones.

that's a flying wing design based on RQ-170 that have internal bay for two bomb in size of Sadid and Qaem .the wing span of Saeqe is between 7-8m and the wing span of the bigger model which is called Simorgh is around 20m

The dimensions of the ucav would be basically the same as the rq170,these are not exact but based on the images that iran released plus other open source
  • Length: 14 ft 9 in (4.5 m)
  • Wingspan: 65 ft 7 in (19.99 m) or 85ft 30in [26m]
  • Height: 6 ft (1.8 m) estimated
The power plant is a mystery as we dont actually know what the original was powered with, the guestimations are 2 different types of turbofan[garrett tfe731/ge tf34],but its unlikely that iran would have an equivalent and I doubt that it would go to the trouble of attempting to reverse engineer the original power plant,so that just leaves reengineering it for a turbojet, but what turbojet?,possibly a non afterburning version of the j85 might be a good contender if the original engine was the Garrett tfe731 as some speculate. As for the onboard systems sadly iran hasnt released much info either on the captured original or on its clones and derivatives. According to the site War is boring the rq170 used a version of the vx works os and had 4 separate computers that handled flight control, navigation, sensors and data links.

Thank you very much for this review. This kind of clear information that will enrich the title.

Is there any information on the useful load capacity that the system can carry? Are there any open resources or forums that you can recommend? (it doesn't matter which language it is.)
