Well, finally Mr. Zarif granted some interviews on U.S. national broadcasts. Am I happy? I guess, a couple of 10 min segment every year is better than nothing. But I cannot stress more how bad of a policy this is, how damaging to Iran's interest it is when we do not have a full time representative in the U.S. rebuffing the lies of the Zionist media on news shows. These organizations are engaging in Anti-Iran activities, speeches, interviews, columns and blogs every week but Iran reps rebuff them once every year during the UNGA.
Well don't work too hard.:hitwall:

Here is the podcast (sorry, I could not find a video yet).

Iran biggest issue is flight of foreign exchange.

Baqi Na Rahi Teri Woh Aaeena Zameeri
Ae Kushta-e-Sultani-O-Mullai-O-Peeri !

Not a bit remains in you of your clear reflection of conscience!
Alas! O you victim of imperialism, of mullah‐ism and mysticism!

As far as I know you have good relationship with USA and Suadia...

Please do a simple comparison :

Mr Persian as far as I know as much as your friends the Indian's are drowning in open defecation you in Iran are drowning in oil and gas. Somebody told me that in the modern world oil/gas are more valuable then gold ....

And if you did not have some of the largest oil/gas reserves on earth by now you would be inspired by Somali's to make a living - by being pirates of the Persian Gulf.

Oil and gas keep the books balanced. Iran is not like Libya where everything is dependent on oil. Iran has an economy more like Turkey, minus the oil and gas.

It is the West's goal to turn the economy into that of SSA.

Yes, however, to further clarify those people in the U.S. are either paid by AIPAC or one of the other hidden organizations. Just look at who is funding FDD or UANI or even the Heritage foundation. Iran is so out gunned in this game it's not even funny. However our leaders show up and give speeches about unity and working together to defeat terror and extermisim. They should instead show up and pound on the table about SA and UAE's undue influence in D.C., they should talk about the irony of the only nuclear armed country in the M.E. screaming the loudest about Iran's peaceful nuke program. Instead we get amateur hour on CNN for 10 minutes....

I find it amusing how petro-economies like Saudia, GCC, Iran resort to bragging about their success. The fact is this is simply down to nature and luck. It's like man winning the jackpot on the lottery. That is no attribute to the person but merely function of pot luck. I did a thread on how your nemesis Saudi's lived before they hit the oil jackpot.

While Iran is a ancient civilization and far better then KSA but nobody can deny that oil gave Tehran the opportunity to take the short cut to being first world. A opportunity that your mullahs have willfully squandered. The fact is Iran was already well on the way to progress under Shah back in 1970s. For instance Iran's per capita was ahead of Turkey at the cusp of the revolution. But hey look what has happened since the four decades of mullah rule. Even with petro-turbo injection Iran has floundered.

Bro I don’t think EVERYTHING IS DEPENDENT ON OIL.

You should also consider hardest ever economic sanctions on Iran.

Anyway what I wanted to clear is having good relationships with the US doesn’t necessarily bring progress and development.

There are many countries as examples in MENA and rest of the world.

Another thing is if China became superpower in many fields is because they tolerated sanctions and moved forward.

To be fair honestly with Israel, KSA/GCC and latent American negative sentiment from the revolution days combining Iran stands little chance. Even Israel with it's lobby AIPAC is formidable leave alone the other actors. Given this it's probably best not eve bothering. You stand zero chance ...

Note: I said Iran is a ancient civilization unlike KSA. I am well aware that Iran has other attributes besides oil but the fact of matter is Iran has massive oil deposits which offered it a opportunity to leverage itself to first world. That has been frustrated because of the tussle you have with USA. Soomething that I regret as a Pakistani. If you had exploded into a first world booming economy which you would have if you had followed the 1970s trajectory Pakistan would have been the second biggest beneficiary to you guys in yor success. But alas ...

Yes!! I agree, they're stupidity has cost us hundreds of Billions of lost revenue. What did get for it? They scream Margh bar America every Friday....while SA and UAE and the rest of those corrupt bastards are making sky scrapers and palm cities on the gulf, meanwhile our people don't have food to eat....we can't trade freely, we can't sell our oil without discount. For **** sakes people, I'm not saying we should be friends with the U.S., I'm saying we should play the game better, we should have had better relations with the U.S. during Obama admin so we could have had a buffer against AIPAC and Trump. We should play the media game better in the U.S. and Europe. We should at least keep the dialogue open, but these idiots keep harping on about respect...the U.S. should respect us. I say Get the f*CK out of here with that attitude, why should the U.S. respect you, because you can destroy them militarily or economically? Or can you beat them in the carpet weaving? Wake up idiots...you've cost us 40 years of progress while the arabs are raking in the cash from our share of the oil market.

10/10. Could not have said it better. I am not Iranian but feel frustrated because of what the mullahs have done. If Iran had followed the 1970s trajectory it would have had a economy matching France by now. Strong, dynamic economies always benefit the neighbours because they offer massive export market on the doorstep. This would have been great for Pakistan. In addtion Pakistan would have got gas/oil from Iran and not had the crippling energy deficit it faces. As I said in another thread how perverse it is that Pakistan is starved of energy but right next door there is some of the largest energy reserves on earth. The Taftan Pak/Iran border should have had miles of trucks waiting to pass over as opposed to few flies buzzing around and some bandit smugglers.
