Why would Israel want to se the MB control BOTH Egypt and Syria? What has Syria done to Israel in the last 40 years?
Israel bombed Syria a few years ago and Syria did nothing, Israel fighter jets flown over Assad's residence and Syria did nothing.
The ONLY thing Syria can do is supply weapons to Hizballah, and thats nothing compared to if the MB control Egypt and Syria. Unifing the whole ME.

Truth is Israel is not targeting civilians per policy however they just have a bad case of not giving a damn if they are in the way. High collateral damage is one thng, systemic massacre of civilians is another thing entirely. For Israel it isva battle for nation's survival. For Syria it is regime survival.

Israel/US/West supporting majority Syrian's who are standing up for their democratic rights even at the cost of their lives is commendable, regardless of their past with Arabs. Of course eliminating Iran's pillar of influence in the region, the Assad regime, is a great side benefit for them. Iran/China/Russia are supporting a lost cause, they need to get their head examined and ask themselves when they will come to terms with the reality that Assad was history the moment the protests started and he decided to wipe them out by force. This is what you get with inferior grasp of geopolitics. They will only pull their hair out later and ask themselves, why they could not see it earlier. Please remember that I said these words when Assad regime is finished.

Just compare how the US dealt with fallen allies like IbnAli & Mubarak and how Russia is dealing with falling Assad. US still has great relations with both countreis. While Russia had a great chance of still maintaining good relations with post-Assad Syria, but its way too late now. even Libya hinted it still wants to buy weapons from Russia, Syria-Russian relations will soon not exist.

MB in Egypt and Syria unifying whole ME is an interesting scenario. I would recommend close relationship between a greater GCC among all Asian Arab states and the Maghreb, but Maghreb has its own interest to look at in Africa, for example, Nile river flows through 9 African countries I think and without a African Union, Egypt will be without water and without Egypt, Maghreb cannot join the greater GCC or GCC+, as I like to call it.

On topic, Israel/US/West can see this developing scenario, that the region is recovering back from Sykes-Picot and are not liking it, but they know they cannot stop it, so before others they are extending their help and support for the inevitable while China/Russia/Iran and some Pakistani posters here are completely misreading the whole geopolitical implications of the current developing situations in the Arab lands.
