TEHRAN – Iran and Bangladesh agreed to boost cooperation in the field of religious tourism, IRNA reported.

The director of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicraft Organization, Masoud Soltanifar, met the Bangladeshi ambassador to Tehran, Majibur Rahman Bhuiyan, on Sunday.

“There are several religious commonalities between the two nations, which provide an opportunity for boosting religious tourism,” Soltanifar said.

He also pointed to cooperation in holding exhibition as a means to boost bilateral tourism ties.

“We are ready to share experience in the field of handicraft with Bangladeshi artists as well,” he said.

Soltanifar called Iran an “attractive destination” for Bangladeshi tourists.

Bangladesh is in huge dilemma. On one hand We are invited in the 34 Alliance which we can't deny because of the remittances we receive, on the other hand we never had anti Iran/ anti shia feelings and we take pride in Iran's revolution of 1979.

However if pressured, Bangladesh will follow KSA. I hope Iran understands the situation and continue cooperation specially in the field of Science and Technology.

Wrong. Remittance and alliance have no relation with each other. They need us. Trust me. No country sends their labor as cheap as Bangladesh. And the legal action they face from other countries is reason why they take Bangladeshi labours. wont take sides. That's for sure. Trust me. All the trade they do with both Iran and Saudi is not worth losing. Just like how a neutral stance was taken when asked to be against Iran.

I wonder since when Iran has become our attractive destination? Probably, Iran wants Karbala to become the 3rd one after Mecca and Medina

All these sweet talks are to take BD away from SA and lure it to Iran. No one really knows the outcome of a future and probable SA-Iran feud. SA has money, but worthless people who would probably fly away to Europe at the first gunfire sounds.

For now, it is an Iranian proxy war in Yemen that may escalate and engulf SA proper. BD should certainly send its troops to fight that war, albeit, in the name of protecting the two Holy Mosques. I believe, the attack will come from Yemen and not from Iran proper.

It is the state policy which count. Are Bangladeshi people want similar type revolution in Bangladesh? I don't think so.So it is hypocritical to say that we take pride of that revolution in Iran.

It is no coincidence that you and your friends have similar mentality.Birds of same feather flocks together we know very well.

By the way how many of your friends got arrested in current crackdown?

complete bullshit. A religious revolution will never be opposed by the Mass.

Fortunately for you there is no religious leader credible enough to pull the trigger. Meanwhile refer to the pew research and go figure how many Bangladeshis supported Shariah.

Just Because Sheikh Mujib and his co leaders were Jailed en masse and It was Mulk e Pakistan and the state policy was to oppose Bengali culture doesn't mean Bangalis didn't crave for freedom.

By the way when Sunni Salafists like ISIS or Qaeda started to adore Ayatullah? This is your knowledge?

Supporting sharia and wanting them implemented on country level is two different things. What do you expect from random muslim guy from the street in BD undertaking an opinion poll? To denounce Sharia? which is integral part of Islam? Most of them will thought they will be murtad if they don't say support. But it is a wrong assumption.Same type of poll also reveal that some muslim country like Turkey,Azerbaijan majority muslims don't want sharia to be implemented on a state level. Are they became murtad for that? Most of Bangladeshi still don't know that,it is perfectly normal to be muslim and not wanting sharia on a state level. Perhaps we need more time on that.

Thank you that is the point. Turkey and Azerbaijan is much more secular than Bangladesh. That is what I was trying to say.
