Eygpt is not a poor country. They've bought Rafale and SU-35. They also operate one of the worlds largest F-16 fleets.

Egypt is a rich country..........But in K8-Jet group Egypt is included.
Egypt has all types of Donkey and Horses.
But Still weak against Isreal.

If they want cheap low cost modern fighter , This FTC-2000G Supersonic fits them.

Egypt's F-16s are funded by me ( and other tax payers like me in the US ) tax $.

Back in 70s and early part of 80s, kingdoms put $ in Saddam's hand to enable Iraqis to stand up against the Iranians, now same is being done with Egypt ( French, Russian ) equipment to stand up against Turkey. Egypt is not a poor country, however Egypt is not a rich country to procure all these fancy toys with out the backing of Kingdoms. Most of the latest procurement were done right after Egypt sided with KSA + UAE to assist in Yemen.
