. .
The famous Cheonjiyeon waterfalls in Jeju Island.
-I was here several years ago for a tour, magnificent place, the water is exceedingly cool!
-Korean mythology states that there are water dragons that live deep under the base of the falls' pool.
-This explains the deep blue waters, and the clear brilliance of the pool waters....

It is very interesting, we have similar mythology stories in Tsushima island, which is very close to Jeju Island and to the Korean coast (in fact the kind of Japanese dialect they speak sounds almost like Korean, lol). There is a famous place called Aso Bay , which overlooks Mount Hokogatake , a very famous place for Japanese artists. Anyways, in Tsushima local folklore, there are giant water dragons that live deep under Aso Bay. hehehe! :)

The beauty of Jeju Island's natural wonders can be enjoyed with the modern amenities. There are premium hotels and resorts readily available for the international tourist ! Yes !

You can enjoy a long walk around the parks, and be able to come home to your air conditioned room with fast wifi ... as you enjoy a delicious meal of Korean barbecue (bulgogi flavor) ;)

@Nihonjin1051 bhai, you should also allow the north koreans to host you. :D

If relation better with Japan and North Korea then we will go. Why not? North Korea was always beautiful place, even old generation Japanese use to say Northern Korea was beautiful , when it was part of Japan Empire.

I was there about 3 years ago with some of my Korean friends. Anyways, recommend Shilla Jeju since it has excellent amenities. Tho all the hotels seem to have their strengths. The thing about Shilla Jeju is that that is what many of our fellow Nihonjin go to , they have also Japanese speaking hoteliers who can better accomodate us. Plus there are Japanese speaking guides there that can also accommodate our questions. One thing tho @yoshi.oda , make sure to bring enough money. It can be very expensive in Jeju. Ehehehehe...for play you know...hahahahaha ...万歳 万歳 万歳 :D

Beautiful place! You see scenes from this island quite frequently in Korean dramas. :D

Precisely, when relations between Pyongyang and Tokyo normalize, then for sure Japanese will embark to North Korea in droves. Northern Korea was always referred to a palatial place by the older Japanese generation who had the benefit of staying and living in Northern Korea (Heijo) during the Imperial Era.

Bro, its interesting to know that the top 2 tourists to Jeju are:

A) Chinese
B) Japanese

The climate, the culture, the faces, the food, etc, somehow, it is familiar, & people feels safer in familiar places, maybe that's why.
