Integrated border management system introduced at Pak-Afghan border

ISLAMABAD: Baligur Rehman has said an integrated border management system has been introduced at Pak-Afghan border to check smuggling of illicit drugs in the country.
Addressing a seminar on Anti-Narcotics Efforts in Islamabad, he said Pakistan has been declared a poppy free country by the UNODC as a result of steps taken by the government.
Baligur Rehman said overall law and order situation of the country has improved significantly following the launch of Zarb-e-Azb operation in North Waziristan.
He said the government is also coming up with a code of ethics for the media that will prohibit not only the glorification of terrorists and criminals but also smoking and drug abuse.
