SpaceX has quite a line-up of manned missions:
April 23: 4 people for NASA
September: 4 tourists
October: 4 people for NASA

Billionaire Jared Isaacman's privately chartered space flight is scheduled to leave Earth in late 2021 as the first crewed space mission with no professional astronauts on board. The multi-day orbital flight, dubbed "Inspiration4," was named to commemorate the four-person crew and their associated "pillars" of support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: leadership, hope, generosity and prosperity.

Aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule dubbed Resilience, Isaacman — a self-described space geek who has accrued more than 6,000 hours piloting various aircraft — will be the commander of the flight. Joining him are physician assistant Hayley Arcenaux, data engineer Chris Sembroski, and geoscientist and science communication specialist Sian Proctor.

According to the Inspiration4 mission website, the vehicle will orbit the Earth for several days carrying an as-yet-undescribed scientific payload in addition to the passengers. But the primary purposes of Inspiration4, the site states, are to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and begin "a new era for human spaceflight and exploration."

Yep, and now the tech is so good SpaceX doesn't need trained NASA or Russian astronauts to fly it. Just regular people jump aboard like a driverless car.

SpaceX is building multiple for in-house use.

It's starting out with 4 people but it can hold 7.

Why so pessimistic? If other countries/people thought like you, we will still be living in the dark ages, since nobody will wantvri rahe risks and will all want to remain in their known environment and not take risks feaeing failures
Only those that don't fail are those that never tried in the first place. Me and you are all enjoying the life we have now due to others who were willing to take risks to innovate and create new things. So we should admire that not denigrate it 🤦🏽

At least they are made to sign a waiver recognizing the significant risks and told to get their affairs in order in case they should not survive.

Meanwhile those who die every year in airplanes, boats, cars, trains, and bicycles never get warned. They die tragically leaving pain for their families and their affairs in disarray.

In the grand scheme of things your warning doesn't hold much weight.

The Space Shuttle had over 130 launches sending over 800 passengers into orbit.

I've said in many previous threads this thought process of taking risks seems to be only a Western one.

In the East an overwhelming fear of failure stymies innovation.

Plus I bet if SpaceX said you have a 30% chance dying they'd still get 100,000 volunteers lined up wanting to be first in line...
