A start-up in the education sector, Ruangguru, confirmed the expansion of its services to Vietnam, as revealed by one of its top officers in Jakarta, Thursday. "We have just launched in Vietnam," said Vice President of Ruangguru, Ritchie Goenawan, at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics grounds in Jakarta, Thursday.

However, he could not immediately reveal further information about the expansion and the services they had brought to the fellow South East Asian country.

Regarding the change in the name "Ruangguru", which literally translates to "teacher's room" in Bahasa Indonesia, to "Kienguru" in Vietnam, Goenawan was unable to comment, however, he explained the change might be a measure of language adjustment.

CEO of Ruangguru, through his Instagram account, @belvadevara, announced the presence of their application in Vietnam from Tuesday, October 29, under the name, "Kienguru".

"Hopefully @ruangguru can go global and bring Indonesia's good name, amen," said Belva.

In the tweet, Belva said that Ruangguru also launched the Kienguru television program, featured on Vietnamese television stations.
