India’s colonial history

. .
These indians will keep crying about british imperial past but will never get rid of this name 'india' that their dad britain gave them..
And what does that show?
That shows pakistan was the truly and only state which got independence from britain on its own terms and ideology. The rest was just a leftover british mess.

And that also shows they dont have a name to agree on. Hindustan and bharat have religious connotations. They dont have a lingua franca, is that a fault of British as well?
Even their first Governor General was Louis Mount Batten..
How lame can this suckle get..

21 trillion that is same as american debt today.
The 21 trillion figure was formulated by an Indian Marxist historian, using an absurdly high inflation and interest rate.

Western colonisation has been a boon for all areas it affected, which is why when the British left India in 1947, millions of Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis started to migrate to the UK and other White countries to be closer to their former masters and "oppressors" once again.

In some areas of UK these days it's hard to see a white person around. I think they are paying already and in future pay dearly.

I use this metaphor a lot...war and genocides---they are swift...while colonialism is like being used as a bile bear..you are caged..then metal tubes are stuck through your body into your liver and your bile extracted out...Bears whose biles are extracted this way have even tried to commit suicide.....Country sized erst-while colonies of the old world suffered from these after effects for the first 40 years or so...best way to get back the lost wealth is to break into middle income territorry as soon as possible ..say even if a country like Pakistan breaksinto lower mid income territorry (5k USD gdp per capita nominal) then it's already a 1 trillion dollar + economy...a veritable heavyweight in the global order that cannot be pushed around

I will only speak for Pakistanis.. Most of whom you see today in UK are generations of Mirpuris (a specific Pakistani region) who were offered to immigrate to UK after a dam construction site was rolled out that would inundate their villages/towns..

Yea because we have a huge population advantage. China for example .

That is for all colonized ppls, end of the day colonization ruined their economies and the british main objective was to switch them to paper money which they just print like lottery ticket ripping them off again.
White man cant stop stealing and lying it in their blood, cains people. Native american helped them and then they got thanked by getting genocide. 200 years of looting 21 trillion is about right.

true but pakistan government is at fault. this has caused resentment.

You are aware that this is all rubbish. These figures have been pulled out of cow's ar*se. Even in 2020 we struggle to quantify economic production. Before the British arrived they did not even carry out population census. This is all revisionist history. People like Shashi Throor are writing fiction books and peddling them as serious historical research. The British now lap this up as part of their guilt complex. In this story everything is Britians fault. The fact is there would be no India today were it not for British. The name India would be barely known by anybody as mentioned in the same breath as Magreb, Balkans etc.

A good example of this revisionist history is what Shashi Tharoor and other Indians say about untouchables and caste. The caste system is endemic to Hinduism and is codified in ancient Hindu texts like Manusmirti 2,500 years ago long before even English learned to speak English.

Yet Tharoor blames the British. Apparently caste was "fuzzy and fudgy" before British. What he means is it was very weak and peripheral but under British rule it hardened and became pronounced. This argumant is lapped up by apologetic British today. If I was there talking to Tharoor I would ask him by the time British arrive 2,200 years of caste had elapsed. Even stone washes away in 2,200 years. Whatever caste was in India before British arrived it must have been caste in reinforced concrete for it to survive millenia.

Finally a country with trillion dollar economy would never fall victim to a small speck on other side of the globe and particularly to few riff raff Anglo traders. If it did it does not say much about this trillion dolla heap.

Well that's your opinion. 200 years of theft and slavery is a long time.
Diamonds, gold, drugs opium, slavery etc. india is a huge continent. Too many traitors led to its downfall.

Article 1 of the Indian Constitution literally starts with "India, that is Bharat". so, Bharat is the official name along with India already. do Pakistanis not know even this simple fact?

.
Economic activity leaves behind marks on the land. The bigger the economy the bigger the physical imprint. Take Egypt. You see the pyramids etc. Take Romans and you see their mark even in Britain with Hadrian wal. Take China and the great wall.

Now look at the trillion dolla economy prior to British arrival. What has it left behind? Few palaces, forts and Taj Mahal. Now look at what the British left just in 150 years. One of the largrest rail network in the world, cantonments across South Asia, roads, bridges, largest irrigation system on earth, incredble architecture across South Asia and brand new capital with flashy buildings called New Delhi.

I won't even go to the soft heritage like institutions like army, police, modern education establishments blah blah.
Well that's your opinion
Your from Jammu Kashmir state. The British never directly ruled JK. All they did was had a treaty with desi ruler. Find out state of your people before 1947. Hungry, illiterate and could not even eat meat. You gonna blame that on the British as well?

Next time you go to your homeland look around and ask "who stole our wealth"?
