You need to learn a LOT more about Islam.

Dhimmi: A non-Muslim in an Islamic government. It is the duty of the Islamic government to protect the religious freedom of dhimmis. Their status is of protectorates within the Islamic government, in exchange for their peaceful behavior and the payment of a nominal tax proportional to their level of wealth. In case of war, dhimmis cannot be conscripted, their wealth and property cannot be taken over.

I will give you an analogy ! You must have heard of Gauss. You can google. He had independently derived so many formulae and theorems before others. He chose to keep it to himself. Now the credits goes to his peers and not Gauss !

Not quite. He definitely succeeded in containing them, although he never truly removed their threat. A a slight damper on your victory dance is that you enabled the British to first take over the sub-continent, and then partition Mother India into two.

People were different ; their thinking was different
