Dear Indians, many of you show your gratitude on PDF by trying to demean and ridicule everything produced or made in Pakistan. Your mental status becomes even more prevalent when the subject is a defence related equipment like Pakistani missiles, Tanks, guns or aircraft, The favourite frivolous Indian punchline is that, ''it's just a paint job''. Such self pleasing lines only reveals your obsessive nature, it may also boost your tiny ego but doesn't effect the credibility of the weapons or systems, so in essence the heart burn that you suffer will remain forever. Let me point out what something what you would like to call, a copy, paint job etc., produces the end result. The image below is of a fighter which has now been retired from the PAF. Essentially, it's a Russian designed MiG-19, built by the Chinese as the F-6. It's totting American AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, The Pakistani pilot sits on a British Martin Baker ejection sear. The aircraft has French gun sight and avionics. The missiles and seats were wired and installed by Pakistani engineers. The aircraft fought in the 1971 India/Pakistan war and scored about a dozen kills including it's successor the MiG-21. One of the logged entry reads.

Flt. Lt. Ramesh Gulabaro Kadam of TACDE, flying an SU-7 was killed when he was shot down by an F-6 piloted by W/C Hashmi on 8-12-1971.

There's no mention of Russia, China, America, Britain or France....the only thing mentioned and matters is the Victor and the Victim. You can amuse yourself with making all the jibes about a paint job but in the end the only that matters is the colour of the flag wrapped around a coffin.

That's what we say hitting where it hurt the most ..

even if i buy a pistol from somewhere, its going to do the job it meant to do ... my next door neighbor might say its not yours , you just put in your paint on it , but its still a pistol and can fire what its meant to be ..

You have put the words in right order and i loved it .

Calm down...what goes around...comes around... you disrespect Indian stuff... Indians disrespect yours...

Want respect... give respect.
No one ever refers to Indian products as a paint job, however, it's the term INDIGENOUS that is often questioned.

Do you REALISE what this means
It means that Your Country was ON THE RIGHT track till the SIXTIES
Pakistan was a progressive country once

Then It took PANGA with India in 1965 and then 1971 Happened
And you have never recovered since then

Then you INVESTED in " Non state Actors " against Kashmir and Afghanistan
instead of INVESTING in Science and Technology

If you Took a HARD look at your Industry ; exports and your economy
you will realise HOW FAR you have fallen Behind

But the same logic doesn't apply to Indian products right ?A few days back, you were blaming HAL for using this, off shelf component like any other reputed helicopter manufacturer...

One kill in 1971, and such out outburst of self glorification. Lost half of the country, doesn't bat an eye.

Sure Let the SAM and BMD systems come in irrespective of the country of origin. in the end the maker doesn't count the hand that holds the gun does. A bigger more lethal gun is more welcome. :D

Just one question is this thread about pakistani air force 'achievements' in 1965-1971 or present status ?

The Indeginisation CONTENT of different Products is a variable thing

Some are even 100 Percent indigenous some are a Hybrid and a collaborative effort

. . .
Indigenous means conceptualized, designed & manufactured (according to the level of industrial advancement & supply chain )in the country

@Windjammer

THAT is why the Pakistani claims Over the
Intellectual Property Rights of the JF 17 are taken with a BUCKET of SALT

Which part of JF 17 has been conceptualised ; designed and tested Totally by Pakistan

.
Made in Pakistan?

Like JF 17?

JF stands for joint fighter if your highness doesn't know. We never claimed to be completely indigenous unlike indians who when wake up suddenly from sleep and shouts Tejas is indigenous when recent audit put it to rest that is just 35% indigenous. Still you deserve credit and kick at same time on the rear end of DRDO/HAL that they failed to complete the project which now span 3 decades
