Where did the rest 11% go? :D

I'm not aware of any ownership by Alibaba, other than being largest investor and last time I heard, it was 40%. Not sure about any change.

Sure.... So, Chinese owns 40% of the shares and Indians own the rest 60% doesn't make it Chinese company. Nor owned by Chinese.

. . .
by what standard is 33 pc and 16 pc stake small ?
they are like you holds 3% he holds 2% the other one holds 1%........
are you really that stupid?Don't you have concept of majority shareholder controllers?

Paytm is copy of Alipay not alibaba,as sharehold of 97one mother company of Paytm, alibaba brought mature tech and market strategies and practices to boost paytm(believe it or not paytm founder vijay is inspired by Alibaba Jack Ma speech)
Alibaba may be hold most of its shares by Softbank and Yahoo.
But Alipay is not
in Chinese well known as Alipay=支付宝、支付寶
timg

Paytm is a mini version of ALIPAY not Alibaba
While alipay is under Jack MA‘s sole control(Jack Yun MA holds 80% of Alipay)
Paytm is nothing but an indian version of China Alipay!!!
Copy of China Alipay!!!
Thanks for your time!!!

Buddy you English is a little too incoherent for me rebuttal point to point. May i recommend proper indentation ,grammar and toning down the immature battle cry persona. Let this be a fact based discussion and links would be appreciated as i could not find a source for your claim of Jack Ma's holding of Alipay.

Do you know that the largest shareholder of Alibaba is Softbank, a Japanese company?

The second largest shareholder of Alibaba is Yahoo.

In fact, before Yahoo sold a lot of its stake and Softbank decreased its stake, upto 70% of Alibaba was owned by these two companies.

Similarly, the largest shareholder of Tencent is actually Naspers, a South African company.

.
"where does the money come from?" is not that important, even Indian has the least share, but it is still an India company, investors dont have the right to run the company accorrding to contracts and regulations.

But what we need to know is that Paytm's main technologies are from Alipay```my IT company is in Hangzhou, in our circle we know Alipay sends loads tech supervisors to India every year to help them to build the eco-system of India's e-payment.

They are seriously lack of skilled architects, advanced IT programmers and prodcut managers, Alipay doesnt want the money go down the drain but to be profitable, so they have to send top IT engineers from Hangzhou to do the core jobs

they said you will know what "Indian good at IT" or "India IT powerhouse" really means once you are there working with them````

that South African company is literally owned by a Chinese State owned Bank`````
