Please give me a reason why you think China is not our natural friend?

Already they have a higher than , deeper than and sweeter than 'friend' who have already tasted that friendship during war times but the fact is there are no permanent friends in international politics just interests .

Thats where you are mistaken why you have to chose bw India and China?? You can maintain cordial relations with both of the countries just like India maintains with Iran.Israel,Saudi Arabia all at the same time.China is more important to BD but you cant undermine the importance of India since we enclose you from three sides.

It's not about choosing between India or China. In fact for Bangladesh our trading relation with the US, EU, Japan and the Middle East far outweighs anything we have with China or India. But in terms of strategic relationships india is not and never will be an option (our borders are with India and burma). We buy the majority of our defence equipment from China, and get most of our technical assistance from them.

This relationship with China is likely to expand much further in the coming years as China starts to replace the US as the major power and industrial centre.

Correct and our interests coincide with those of China's. A nation who has consistently provided us with assistance regardless of which government is in power without interference. A key strategic supplier to our defence forces.

Seriously, so China is there to protect oil shipments through international water, and India is trying to stop China so they can threaten the oil shipment?

What happen to freedom of navigation, international law and all those things that Indian often parrot the west?
