Chindits: Indian Naval Ship ‘Kalpeni’ Visits Maldives On Joint Maritime Security Patrol
An Indian Naval Ship Kalpeni, arrived in Maldives on 12th February for a 5 day joint exercise with MNDF Coast Guard. The aim of the exercise is to jointly conduct maritime security patrol in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Maldives. During this visit, the MNDF Coast Guard personnel will be embarking the ship and will be undertaking various operational training with Indian Naval personnel. The joint patrol is aimed at increasing maritime security in the Indian Ocean region, especially in the waters around Maldives.
The current exercise is a part of bilateral cooperation.
