Enough now of this fast negotiations, this is India we talkin about. This much negotiations would have been enough to buy the whole Dassault company itself with full TOT leave alone a jet they make.

.
More negotiations
No country has ever taken 8 year time to finalize just 36 jets deal.
Finally an end to the so called mother of all deals.

.
When Modi announced his "make in India" policy, did he meant "Fools"

Good let's see id they walk the talk this time around

Considering PM's statement in France that these 36 fighters are for critical and urgent requirement, negotiators would conclude the discussions quickly. Also the fact (stated recently) that France has offered sweet conditions for this batch, would mean that atleast Financially, the negotiators have backing from government (biggest roadblock is removed) and the technicalities for deal would be sorted out shortly.
I think we will get to hear about a formal contract within a couple of months from now and hopefully, this is beginning for future induction of larger numbers of Rafales in Indian colors.

. . . .
not so fast......126 deal is still on with "Make in India"
Na karo yaar.
We just saw a fucking end to the so called mother of deals after 8 years of bak bak with just 36 jets as a face saving.

. . . .
Couple of Things are pretty clear now.

MMRCA is DEAD. Its scraped.

The ballpark cost per aircraft as per Dassault's winning bid for the 126 MMRCA programme — the old, nowscrapped, Rafale deal — came to about $300 million (probably 295 million $), taking into account the estimates of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL). Sources told ET that the objective was to bring this down to a little over $200 million apiece.

...The price per aircraft is not just the acquisition cost of the platform, but also includes maintenance facilities, training of pilots and technicians, armaments and spares.
