Looks like every man and his dog are conducting security sweeps!!


But seriously good to see such through preparations and active deployment of such assests. We can see paramilitary (looks like ITBP), Delhi Police, NSG and SPG all with sniffer dogs conducting sweeps for explosives.

+ does anyone know whether the SPG carry concealed firearms (pistols) under their "pyjama" type informal dress (as opposed to "formal" dress of business suits on formal occasions) like seen hear and when protecting PM/Gandhis day-day. As they are also "wired-up" in the sense that they have earpeices so the radios must be worn underneath I'd assume so but have never seen the tell tale "bulge" but then they do wear very loose clothes (purposuly I assume). And do they wear BPJs when on protection duty (formal/informal).

We can look at some of the pics. In the background we can see Gurudwaras, Temples & Mosques. I noticed it only after looking at the big version of the pic in today's TOI.

Although unintentionally, it captures the secular nature of India. How religions live as brothers in parts of the nation. India is a great nation.
