RIP for the civilians
I think stress and long time posting in hostile condition deteriorate mantle condition of IA soldier specially in Kashmir and bordering states.

It was a personal feud. All the persons shot were his relatives or neighbours.

Armyman kills four in Sangrur, found dead; personal feud suspected

NDTV is reporting that the Jawan was later killed by a Rapid Intervention Unit of the police as he refused to surrender after shooting at several people inside his relative's house.

UPDATE: Local sources told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the fire was opened by an armyman over a family dispute. This firing incident has no relation to ongoing Sikh protests in Punjab.

North Gazette quotes Sangrur SP Jaskiranjeet Singh Teja told that seven persons suffered injuries in the indiscriminate firing by Army man over a family dispute and they were rushed to hospital by their relatives.

“Three of them succumbed to the bullet injuries in the hospital while four persons are undergoing treatment at the hospital and their condition is said to be serious,” police officials said.

Its the CRPF Central Reserve protection force, and J&K Police which are prone to the pressure and stress, and they are the one who are fighting with the terrorist, not Army. Army stays in their Cantonment Area, and help the paramilitary forces to cordon off the terrorist during the clashes.

I have spend 14 Years in J&K, so I can very well tell that Army have better previllage than other paramilitary forces, like BSF, CRPF, J&K Police. Indian Army's RR unit is the one who takes mostly part in intense fire exchange, if the terrorists shows stiff resistance in remote areas. A unit of Indian Navy's MARCOS takes part in the special operation in the valley. Usually these types of incidence happens if the Jawaan was not given leave to go to his family many times in the past, but now the IA have started providing family Quaters to the jawans so that they could bring their family with them. In last 15 years, large numbers of army Quaters were constructed by MES Military Engineering Services even in Kashmir valley, thus lowering this type of incidence.

@Windjammer @Zarvan Can you tell whether Pakistani Army or the Rangers are fighting the terrorists in FATA, and Ballushistan.

Don't you have local police in those areas. I mean who is maintaining law and order under civil jurisdiction or its complete Army court.

I Asked you this question because if the Army keeps on fighting with the terrorists or the rebels in covert fighting than the for long Army looses its Battle fighting capabilities. What makes the task so difficult for them to flush out the terrorists and even using UAV for strike, Gunships and even heard of F-16 bombing the terrorists, never happens in India anywhere. Is the condition is so gruesome there.

What happens, I was asking just the simple question to know about the conditions in Pakistan in the same way I told you the condition in Kashmir Valley. Why are you thinking that I am derailing the thread, if you don't want to answer its ok, and BTW its better I asked other Pakistani member.

Ask USA why it uses army UAV's and AC130's along with Apaches in Afghanistan. Plus our tribal areas were anatomus regions since 1947 and had no police.
Moreover try not to compare apples with oranges. Terrorists operated like ISIS or a conventional army in Af-Pak region unlike a bunch of outlaws.
Open another thread instead of raising your concerns about our country here.

You are making it sound so simple my friend......let me ask you, in the last twenty or thirty years of insurgencies, how many times did the Indian security forces had to face or deal with suicide bombers both in human and vehicle forms... in any one encounter, did the IA ever faced more than say half a dozen attackers, on the contrary, there have been occasions when upto 200 militants would mount an attack from Afghan border and then escape back....and those who attack are not just armed with a bunch of AK-47s....just look back at the Kargil conflict, there were no tanks, APCs or artillery deployed by the other side, yet even after your bofor guns proved futile, you hyad to resort to using the air force....
