Srinagar: Ruling National Conference’s Additional General Secretary, Dr Mustafa Kamal Tuesday launched a broadside on the Army and Intelligence Bureau (IB) accusing them of meddling in the state politics “to see complete merger of Kashmir with India and secede ‘Azad Kashmir’ from Pakistan on the pattern of Bangladesh.”
“Army and IB are repressing the people of Kashmir and they want to enslave people of Kashmir completely. For my bold statements against them, I am being loathed by both these agencies while my party patron Dr Farooq Abdullah even advised me to shut my mouth as he fears that these agencies will not let me breathe freely,” Kamal told news agency ‘ANI’ in an interview.
“Army and IB have a motive behind all this. They want to see complete merger of Kashmir with India. They are igniting atmosphere here and want to disintegrate ‘Azad Kashmir’ on the pattern of Bangladesh,” Kamal said.
“My party patron told me that IB will not let you breathe freely if you continue to issue statements against the (IB). He told me not to oppose or contradict Army and IB otherwise I will suffer,” Kamal said.
Kamal said that he is being “loathed by all because he speaks truth.” He said, “Let me tell you that IB and Army are not sincere. They have wicked designs and want to wage a war to secede ‘Azad Kashmir’ from Pakistan on the pattern of Bangladesh. They want to have complete control over Kashmir and want to enslave Kashmiris by hook or crook,” he said, adding that “both Army and IB must remember that the state of J&K had acceded to and not merged with the Union of India.”
“Jammu and Kashmir is today a headache and a drain on New Delhi’s resources only because it was not given a fair deal and the constitutional arrangement between New Delhi and Srinagar was tampered with,” he said.
Hitting out at Congress High Command and the party’s state president Saifudin Soz, Kamal said Soz had opposed vehemently his induction in state Cabinet. “How can he like me when I know where does he stand? The aim of Congress party is power, and we all know that all is not well in Congress party. So many Congress leaders have been showing resentment openly for not getting berth in Cabinet. They are power mongers and anti-people,” he said.
“From last 60 years, Congress party in state is exploiting people of Jammu and Kashmir. The destination of Congress has been always power. Congress leaders are responsible for the miseries of common people and now they are hitting the target by placing gun on the shoulders of National Conference.”
Kamal said the sole aim behind forming National Conference was to wipe out injustice and transfer powers from monarchical system to a democratic system. “But the political treachery and deceit in 1953 by the government in New Delhi changed things and the people of the state have been suffering not only at the hands army and security agencies but at the hands of Congress too.”
Kamal also said that his party will contest 2014 Assembly elections singlehandedly and it will not seek the support of Congress. “Congress can’t be our true ally and we are not going to make Congress an ally. Whatever Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been saying, it might be his personal opinion. Party decisions are not taken by any individual but it is the job of Working Committee,” Kamal added.

Army, IB responsible for miseries of Kashmiris: Kamal

Kashmir is the vital part of Pakistan so such absurd not going to effect on our cause it has no importance what he said. A biggest democracy stands over 120 000 Kashmirs dead bodies. How's Pathetic. Shameful for India shameful for those betray struggle of Kashmirs to be part of Pakistan.

Pakistan seek to do the same with India - is turn about not fair play any more? Maybe more bomb attacks and murders of Shiah over which the govt and her institutions remain mute, are not really the doing of the Indian -- Pakistan's own mistakes allowed the people of East Pakistan to conclude that they were not a part of Pakistan, if Pakistan allows the people in Azad Kashmir to conclude the same, why blame the Indian?

Economy, boys and girls - no Economy, no Pakistan, let alone Azad Kashmir -- You have a chance in the upcoming elections, the chance of your life times, if you really care about Pakistan, vote your concern

Oh Bhai Sahib this time around we're not fighting a 1000 miles away from our nearest base, with only a handful of personnel & platforms, embroiled in a Civil War with the local populace for months at a stretch, outmanuvered & outnumbered from all sides by a armed terrorists that fights us & then melts back into the crowd !

Isss dafaa thoraa zaraaa kaam mushkil haiii & we've learned our lessons from '71 quite well !

AJK people are more contented than someone in Karachi and Lahore. Mr Kamal is getting a little insecure. Indian govt needs to increase the pay of Mr Kamal. After all he is from the ruling party of IOK.

Yes, possibly, maybe - After all, how successful have we been against the Islamist enemy or the radical Balouch? And why have we been so fantastically unsuccessful?

So what is that we have learned? How is it that we went from "liberating" all of Kashmir to....well, we all know where we are today?

What we've learned is how not to leave our flank exposed anymore - there can never be a repeat of the Bangladesh fiasco ever again !

But tis true that our failings in governance not only continue but are compounded by the prevailing conditions.

lol try to visit Azad Kashmir, even when it is not officially part of Pakistan still you can read wall chalking & banners of "Kashmir banega Pakistan" trans"Kashmir will become Pakistan".

BTW Pakistan's Kashmir policy under current govt is very very weak & defensive, this govt haven't talk for Kashmir at all. Pakistan cannot afford another govt who keep this silence stance on Kashmir for the sake of good relationship with india, message should be loud & clear no talks without Kashmir issue being discussed.

Also i want people to watch this program.

I agree @muse. We did so well in Kargil but our performance on the terror front is heart breaking and shows a level of utter incompetence that could put to shame the Maldivian pathetic army. We don't know what we're doing. Someone tells us we do it we do it like the spectacular raid in Wana (heart of Nazir territory) on Commander Qasim on US behest yet amazing how we can't get Fazlullah or another chimp commander of the TTP. Time to accept this as a reality. I am a pessimist maybe... but I was an optimist once and saw where that led.

We do not have our interests in mind. From birth I served this nation and saw how I was treated. I am tired, tired of defending Pakistan's name. Its the armies job now. Congratulations on losing one patriot who used to love the military to bits. I wonder how we will fight a war with India when all this is taking place.

Btw I remember when one of my underlings asked me as leader of PNA-Canada Chapter would I fight beside the Pakistan in case of any war... I said yes, our life, our blood, our everything is for Pakistan and it would be my duty. Now I reminisce and wonder if I really would anymore. In the end the government plays a huge role in defeating anyone who has some interest of Pakistan at heart, someone who loves his country.

No one cares. I saw the callousness of the government officials, the people in power. They ignore our calls, you talk in urdu the counselor general closes the phone at your face. We are in a horrible position today. I sacrificed everything for the nation, could have had a brilliant life in Canada without actively being in politics which is a crime in the west today... but my own nation is not really a nation today, not only on the policy making front.

With its ethnic and sectarian faultlines and its total surrender of policy to foreigners, our economy under Zardari going down the drain I have severe doubts that my nation is in the right direction. I am doing reports, everything to ensure it doesn't go there but what can I do?

Also I don't know about others but Indian army has become secondary concern to the terrorists in the north-west today. Hakimullah Maseed of the TTP (Leader and Chief of TTP) is a more worthwhile target than COAS India. These guys are the reason for the mess we are in. Foreign policy should be corrected to make it easier to defeat them. Many have died in the war. Lets have something to show for it too.

I was close to tears with my last post. :D
