BENGALURU: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh strongly suspects the role of four top rung leaders, including a retired Indian Army Colonel, of a right-wing organisation, to be behind the murder.

"retired".

Wasn't the Samjotha Express terrorist who attacked the train in India also a "retired" member of the Indian military? Isn't Kulbashan Yadav also "retired". I do wonder what "retired" means in India.

Shameless to say the least. We often hear Indian propaganda against PA, blaming them to be above law and what not, but have Indians ever questioned role of Indian army officers directly involved in so many criminal activities and killings.

SHUJAAT SILENCED
June 15, 2018
Fearless journalist pays price for upholding the truth

Srinagar: Veteran journalist and Rising Kashmir editor-in-chief Syed Shujaat Bukhari and his two personal security officers (PSOs) were shot dead by unidentified gunmen outside the newspaper's office in Srinagar on Thursday.
As soon as Bukhari stepped out of his office and boarded his vehicle at Press Enclave at around 7 pm to head home, unknown gunmen fired indiscriminately on the vehicle.

Shujaat and two of his PSOs Hamid Chaudhary and Mumtaz Awan sustained multiple injuries in the firing.
Shujaat and Chaudhary died on spot while Mumtaz was shifted to SMHS hospital in critical condition. Mumtaz succumbed to injuries in the hospital in the evening.

Both the PSOs hail from Karnah area of border district of Kupwara. Bukhari, who was in his 50s, received volley of bullets shattering the window panes of his vehicle and leaving him and the two policemen in a pool of blood. The shooting comes a day ahead of Eid.

It was not immediately clear how many gunmen attacked Bukhari, who earlier worked with The Hindu newspaper.
Shujaat was editor-in-chief of English daily Rising Kashmir, Urdu daily Buland Kashmir, and Kashmir daily Sangarmal, which are run by Kashmir Media House (KMH).

He is survived by parents, wife and two minor children, a girl and a boy.

As the former president of Adbi Markaz Kamraz, Shujaat was well known in literary circles. His family members and well wishers condoled the shocking demise. He was a proponent of upholding human rights.

His body was taken to his native place at Kreeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, where he will be laid to rest on Friday at his ancestral graveyard at 11 am.

Yawn...only you and your type could connect the dots...

They're being exposed by South Indians. High time we exploit this North South division.

LOL...please doo...

. . .
agree seems a civil war might not be too far

Not civil war, but South Indian states are economically at a disadvantage remaining part of India. Plus the invasion of North Indians into the South hasn't been welcomed because they're enforcing Hindi upon them.

If I'm Pakistan, I'd fan the flames a little bit. An independent South India would be beneficial to both. South India becomes the powerhouse it was destined to become without the poor North dragging it down, plus they'll have no territorial disputes or hostilities against us.

North India will essentially become Somalia v2.0.

The idea that Pakistan can "fan the flames" as you put it is laughable.

I find Pakistanis generally have no idea how India works. Sure, there is some resentment in the Southern states due to the current economical disparity and language issues but we will always remain a part of India because unlike Pakistanis, we are not bound by ethnicity or religion but a shared common culture which you guys have thankfully left.

Typical Pakistani attitude... trying to drag others down instead of focusing on building your own country. A country of 200 million people with enough potential to become the first developed nation in South Asia but instead you choose to let others dictate your future. Arabs, Americans, Chinese... whoever the f**k comes along. South Indians will never respect you guys for that very reason especially considering the same Pakistanis who seem so concerned with our well being will also look down on us due to our darker skin and Dravidian culture.

Just f**k off and keep that racist shit to yourself.

If you're going to meddle in our affairs, we'll do the same. Don't like it, deal with it.
