Srinagar: The Fire and Fury Corps of India has built a 260-f00t-long ‘Maitri Bridge’ in a record time of 40 days in Choglamsar village situated in Leh Ladakh district of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the longest suspension bridge over the Indus river, stated news agency ANI. The bridge was made open to the public on Monday.

An 89-year-old war veteran, Naik Phunchok Angdus (Retd), dedicated the Cable Suspension Bridge to the locals on the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. This comes after the civil administration directed the Army to build a bridge to help the locals of Choglamsar, Stok and Chuchot villages (largest villages of Ladakh Region) in their commute. The bridge was inaugurated by senior Ladakhi war veterans in the presence of Lt Gen YK Joshi, AVSM, VrC, SM, General Officer Commanding ‘Fire and Fury Corps’.

The 260-foot longest suspension bridge over the Indus River was built using innovative engineering methods. It was constructed by the Combat Engineers (Sahas aur Yogyata Regiment) of the Fire & Fury Corps ferrying almost 500 tonnes of bridging equipment and construction material. Meanwhile, locals of the area thanked the Army for constructing the bridge, which, they say, has brought much-needed relief to the people of the region

260 feet longest bridge over Indus? The Taunsa bridge on Indus is 1,325 m in Pakistan.

ISI and SSG are world number one exactly for that "no apparent reason".. they do their jobs silently and not paraphrase their work with world best or world fastest.. only you inferior indians do that..

Well thats hilarious, we know what job ssg has done in all wars, siachin ops and kashmir insurgency. And your isi, everything that they do is an epic fail, never achive their objectives and whatever they do its insignificant. India has only grown stronger and your pm is out with begging bowl in front of china, saudi etc. whats numbah one in this?

Never achieve their objectives thats funny considering GOI always blame every attack in India on ISI.. and when we do attack your propaganda machines go in negating mode.. just like you did when PAF shot down your Su30 and Bison and now MI17 crash turning out to be courtesy to IAF.. i dont get it how indian brain works.. the same saudi prince visited india couple days later were you holding your begging bowl aswell for 100 billion?

Yes nothing significant, apart from cowardly terrorist attacks which are meaningless and will not help isi achieve its objectives. And PAF shot down su30? LOL hilarious, a 1960 era mig21 is all that you got and you had to lie about having our "second pilot" in your hospital when reality is that it was your own who got killed.

Seriously man, when are you people going to release our second pilot?
