Yes,
The Shiv Sena claiming to represent Maratha power in the Indian state of Maharashtra thinks so too.
In the 1700s Marathas briefly ruled northern, central, and western India (with a tenuous alliance with a figurehead Mughal entity) believed that they were the natural rulers of India.
The Marathas were defeated and weakened by the Afghans in the North West and by the Mysore state in South. The British moved in defeating the Marathas and Sikhs in a series of wars.,
Today it is ironic that the statement termed "Tukde Tukde " by their ally the BJP is being made by the Shiva Sena itself
I don't know if India is going to breakup. But even if it did, it will be because of its own wrong doings not that Pakistan has the capability of breaking up India ;-)
It's a civilizational state.India is a fabrication of the british
They're a regional party, so no.Do you think the Seniks have actually reformed their Hindutva ways? Can they can give a tough time to BJP? Or they're just sloganeering?
Maratha and Dravidian nationalism can be a real pain for BJP.
Maratha strongman Sanjay Raut, an ally of the BJP regime predicts India's breakup.

Shiv Sena politician and Rajya Sabha member
Sanjay Raut who is the executive editor of the party mouthpiece Saamna, has cautioned that it would not take long for the country to break into separate states, the way it happened "with the states in Russia", if the Narendra Modi government does not realise that ultimately it is the people who suffer when there is a political battle between the Centre and states.

Good question! Let us look back in time a little..@Baibars_1260 what do you make of the tussle between Shiv Sena and BJP?

Yes, regional ethnic chauvinism is something neither the BJP nor the Congress likes. The Congress tried to ignore the peril of the rise of regional ethnic chauvinism. In the process, apart from loosing its most charismatic leader abd her son , the Congress Party has been reduced to complete insignificance throughout India. The BJP has so far countered regional ethnic tensions by drumming up the anti-Pakistan, anti-Muslim hysteria. In the case of Maratha nationalism both these stances do not work because at the state level the Shiv Sena had long appropriated a leadership on these issues. The BJP has few options other than starting a war with Pakistan or raising the issue of the Mathura and Kashi temples, which it will undoubtedly attempt.Maratha and Dravidian nationalism can be a real pain for BJP.
Agree, and it gets to be more likely that India will go that way on it's own.I don't know if India is going to breakup. But even if it did, it will be because of its own wrong doings not that Pakistan has the capability of breaking up India ;-)
I agree with everything else but disagree with this. I think Congress' pandering to Sikhs and the Dravidians for the Punjab division and anti-Hindi imposition in the 60s and 70s respectively helped keep India together. If they had went the heavy handed way, India would have broken up, or definitely had more ethnic strife, much earlier.Post independence the Congress pandered to regional linguistic, and ethnic passions by reorganizing provinces on linguistic lines. This was a recipe for disaster. The British had deliberately held the boundaries of the provinces across linguistic regions
But the Bangladeshi Muslim migrant hysteria was disproven when it turned out that the majority of the CAA victims were Dharmics. The fast changing demographics in Assam is a point of concern, which is why there were plans for the now paused CAA and the NPR and NRC programs that went with it.
Lol.Kashmir is a top priority in terms of development, connectivity, infra and integration for the current ruling dispensation in India, as is the north east.
Also the headline is misleading. There is a context to his statment without with the title is flamebait. The title should have been "India can break up like Russia".
Pakistan should accelerate this process. I am not in favor of genocide and extermination of any religion, but India is the reason why Pakistan has an abnormal social and economic structure. If India gets divided into many states, then Pakistan can also walk in right direction.Maratha strongman Sanjay Raut, an ally of the BJP regime predicts India's breakup.
