you have problem in reading , the idea was proposed 3 years back and also , Israeli Drone are more advance then Chinese. Even Russia and you so called turkey buys them.DRDO failed in Rustom I & II projects and recent Buraq strike on terrorists make India panic.
Go through forum Pakistan started Making Drones in 90's and we are actively trying to Produce an armed drone since 2009.He doesn't have to,it's now an open secret that your so called 'home made' Burraq is nothing other than the Chinese CH3,which was designed way back in the 90s and even Nijeria make use of these things.Only that, they do not claim it to be of their own development.
Things work different over here...For Example the First Pakistani Armed F-16 with AIM-120 BVR was leaked by Lockheed not PAF.There are several projects going on but you will only know when it's done.in other word,It never gets "Developed" in Pakistan..UAVs are no such "Hush Hush" business..You could see even China never impose such kind of "Secrecy" when it comes to UAV/UCAVs,forget about EU/USA/Israel who are World Leaders in this field. But Pakistan does..Irony indeed..
You see, there is no such purpose to hide "Testing of a Platform" when you'll finish it within 2 years or so and will induct it in front of full public view..Secret Tests gets performed to test some capabilities that a country doesn't want the world to know at that time,or to hide failures..
one example, our K-15 project was a "Black Project" for a long time..but even then, you'll get video of tests when it was finally announced.there are several examples of these in various fields. But I can assure you, nobody acts like Pakistan, where R&D on UAVs and Rockets are quite "Nonexistent" and one day suddenly, they tests an "Cruise Missile" and "UCAVs" and next day they induct it..Even Chinese never behaves like this. You can see their "Top Secret" projects testing info in net(though scarce)..
Dear subject Chinese drone purchased by India from open market (a civilian small drone) and try to use against Pakistan after that China ban all type of drone to sale in open market. A cheap tactic used by Indian army.I do think that it was discussed here several times here that both Shahpar and Burraq is originally Chinese UAV..
That bothers me less as Lockheed might have leaked an info about F-16's capability of PAF which PAF might not want to know the world they have. But what could be the possible reason that no testing info/Video never gets available of these "Indigenous Equipments" where whole world uses it to promote their "Reach and Capability" apart from let others know about their capability.I do understand for a "Black Project"..but these platforms are part of the "Lower Echelon" of Defence and nobody bothers to hide it anyway.
Chinese RC plane.its much embarrassment for both Pakistan and China that PLA used a recon RC craft into Pakistan without Pakistan's knowledge and it crashed.Thats why China tried to save their face after imposing "Restriction" on selling of these platforms. We do not use "Crappy Chinese RC Plane".
Dear bro since you are a senior member i advise you with due respect instead of using Hindu and Muslim words kindly use Indian or Pakistani because millions of Hindu living in Pakistan and same case with Muslims living crores across the border. May be Hindu Muslims words hurting their sentiments for their nations.hindus
The Burraq is being manufactured in Pakistan by NESCOM, its service ceiling, range and endurance exceeds that of the CH3 and although it may be said to be based on the same design philosophy, it is far from being the same thing. India's Rostum project also incorporates some of the design features of CH3 because it is an easy to fashion and stable platform.
There has been a lot of trolling on this thread, keep it civil and on topic.
Rustom project didnt take anything from CH3. They, and some other uavs took the design from a old manned mini plane.
India used this design as a technology demonstrator. Though, recently there are talks of it actually being operationalized.
Paint them the same and I dare you, even the guys who worked on them will have a tough time telling one from the other.
I think Pakistan will either go for CH-5 or build a similar one on its ownThe Burraq is being manufactured in Pakistan by NESCOM, its service ceiling, range and endurance exceeds that of the CH3 and although it may be said to be based on the same design philosophy, it is far from being the same thing. A civilian made helicopter.

What a nonsense justification of rustam impotency.Rustom 1 is used mainly for surveillance purposes. We don't have to kill good terrorists on daily basis...Get your facts right. We have enough Israeli drones in inventory that can be armed & Rustom 2 is already on the way..
