At no point was it the Government policy to deliberately kill civilians.. What ever the propaganda says.. If they did 300,000 civilians kept by the LTTE as human shields wouldn't have come out.. It was a dirty war fought without rules with one of the most despicable group of terrorists that used pregnant women as human bombs and Children as canon fodder.. The lines are not so clear in such circumstances on who are civilians and who are combatants .. So yeah no denying crimes happened.. Soldiers themselves were hardened individuals that has seen unspeakable horror happen to thier colleagues and families, It was inevitable.. So was collateral damage
