Risingbd desk, DHAKA, Jan 1: West Bengal State Government is going to seal Indian border with Bangladesh for three days from January 4 to January 6 ahead of the Bangladesh’s January 5 parliamentary polls.
According to a BBC Bangla report, at a review meeting with West Bengal chief minister along with its higher officials, Indian central Home Secretary Anil Goswami discussed about the matter on Tuesday.
The Indian government including its West Bengal state is security concern surrounding the upcoming 10th parliamentary election of the neighbouring country.
The government has already increased its security in the border areas to avoid the political violence and terror activities ahead of the January 5 polls.
In the meantime, the Indian BSF has been ordered to raise patrol drive in roads and waterways near the neighbouring border areas.
