India probably thought they could get away without paying since they believed that since Iran is viewed as the 'bad guy of the world' they can pick on them and get away with it because the West -- in particular the US, would support them, but Iran stared Indian down and demanded payment. India's response? We'll pay.

This made no sense whatsoever. You do understand that India was not buying a one time lollipop?

1.)Did India explore all options of making payments to Iran at the risk of it's banks Having their licences cancelled in US?:-Yes
2.)Does a multi-country payment mechanism come up over night?:No
3.) Did India manage to put together the mechanism before more than 50% of the outstanding went beyond 120 days bucket?: Yes
4.)Does your post have a factual base: **** No!!!

the problem here is that Pakistani members here rejoice at even any temporary setback Indian has with any one . so sour grapes are common here.
