For anyone not wanting to troll. The drone is not hypersonic. Maybe just close to hypersonic at fastest. It is for reconnaissance mission when even GEO satellites are destroyed. They can cover redundant functions so abilities can overlap. It is part of network used to prevent American navy from getting to close during wartime. Conventional navy and airforce can take on currently situated US navy in the region but if more than two carrier groups enter the region, it will be difficult for PLAAF and PLAN to handle at third island chains. If you see news of US navy pacific fleet entirely enter the region it will become war because it is too close in range and they can overwhelm entire Chinese airforce and navy. So these ship ballistic missiles need something to track and guide them. If satellite get killed by SM-3 and SM-6, divine eagle drone can stay around for a long time but they can also be shot down so need more eyes and surveillance.

So makes sense for Chinese, not much significance for you.

You forgot to mention successor of SR-71 which is hypersonic drone SR-72 so you point against them is not true.

this test range is mostly for nuclear tests its quite contaminated with radiation its odd they will conduct artillery test or a landmine test could be a air dropped PGM though

First of all... pokhran used for a wide variety of tests... and artillery is included...

tank is fine considering its a closed setup and they have radiation shielding , but generally they dont test conventional weaponry there don't much.

I have heard about war games in pokhran...
