Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari says India will says extend its utmost support to Sri Lanka to obtain the host status of 2018 Commonwealth Games. Sri Lanka is rapidly steering towards development.

The Indian Vice President said therefore, offering host status of Commonwealth Games to Sri Lanka is significant in Asian perspective.

Meanwhile, Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai points out that some Elements are attempting to discredit Sri Lanka by leveling false accusations. Their ultimate motive is to deprive Sri Lanka of obtaining host status for Commonwealth Games. He said however, there is no diplomatic level opposition for Sri Lanka in this connection.

Wonderful, I would in any day want the games to to got Sri Lanka... I would for sure pay a visit there.

I think India and Sri Lanka share a very warm relationship at the highest political level.:smitten: It is only on PDF that things get out of hand ;)

i dont see much benefit in it.

Noone turned up in the grandstands to watch the games when it was in India. They needed to force lots of peasants into the seats. Didn't it make a loss by staging it?

This thread is about Sri Lankan Commonwealth Games not Indian. This is the part where you get on your knees and lick Sri Lankan *** in the name of diplomacy.
