India’s trade with China falls 12 %

so China can stop trading with Indian, that country is not a big market for China and without so to be the world biggest market China,Indian's economy can go nowhere.we should focus on trading with other South Asian countries, just bypass India.

ahh..we just saved 29 billion usd, which you lost (more than 10% of your "trade surplus).

when you are replacing li xiping?

a weak one always suffers more in a trade war than a strong one.it's always the case, let's do it,it really doesnt mean much to us.

yes, please.

china should ban all it's exports to india.

in one minute, we reduce our overall trade deficit by 20%... chidambaram will kiss you on the forehead for solving his problems. Ha ha.

India ranks only the seventh among Chinese trading partners and the total amount only accounts for a small fraction of China's foreign trade.but to India ,China is the number one trading partner,so who suffers more in a full trade war is so obvious.

As I said, china isn't an important export customer of India ... less than 10th rank.

Trade with china means only imports from china. (and the overall trade rank is because of what India buys.. not sells to china).

And an added benefit, less Indian traders will need to risk their life in Yiwu.

Never mind the monetary benefit .. we save 29 Billion usd in trade deficit, which china loses.

Actually, if we save 29 billion usd and stop importing gold .. the entire current account deficit will be wiped out.

So.. when are you replacing li xiping and implementing something?

China's trade partner in 2012:
EU:546billion$(in which Germany 162billion$, Netherlands 67.2billion$)
USA:484.68billion$
ASEAN:400billion$(Indonesia 66.2billion$,Malaysia 94.8billion$,Singapore 69.3billion$,Thailand 69.7billion$)
HongKong:341,5billion$
Japan:329.5billion$
South Korea:256.3billion$
Taiwan:169billion$
Australia:122.3billion$
Russia:88.2billion$
Brazil:85.7billion$
Saudi Arabia:about 74billion$
India:66billion$
South Africa:60billion$
Canada:51.4billion$

By group economies, India is the 12th trade partner of China, or 16th trade partner by individual economies.

But India will be the top 5 in the coming 10 years, trade war will only make others happy and laughing, India-China should find a way to cooperate more.

it is still not big comparing with major China's major trading partners, and you think you can save 29 billion, that's a funny Indians idea, you have to buy, maybe from somewhere else, that will cost you more, you can't save that money.

Even Pakistan has close its border for all kind of trade with indian after endian violations of LOC,

..and you believe this is worthy of comment?

Perhaps you should ban trade with Dubai, if you want implement anything serious.

Dubai is making all money being the middleman.

ok.. possible; buying some stuff from japan, south korea and taiwan directly (though, now those companies would be incentivised to set up assembly shops in India.. once china is cut out of the line).

And some dollars will actually be saved.. helping stocks of BHEL and L&T perhaps.

Anyway... free trade is always good, in the long run.

The only way to competitiveness is opening the economy to foreign competition .. so, we should remain open to trade with everyone. that's all.

well, yes it does worth it, as far as dubai is concerned , they didnt kill our guards and then as always started crying. its indian army, and wtf is wrong with your air chief ?? ******* war mongers

Indo-pak trade happens via Dubai (which is the sad thing for both India and Pakistan, since they make money as a middleman!)...... border trade is not even $ 20 million.

the opening or stopping of "loc trade" doesn't affect either india or pakistan (actually, since it has no material impact, that's why pakistan doesn't mind making using it for symbolism).

Anyway, India always encourages trade .... even with Iran... which is more important, than pakistan atleast.

Btw.. our pakistan "brothers" didn't find any oil.. even being so close to Iran... quite a rare piece of bad luck.

well as you said we dont get oil from iran, i think get your facts right, pakistan imports its about 20% of oil need from iran and rest from saudi arabia and kuwait, reason is saudi arabia is sort of in our hand, they wont do anything against our will, so we have good ties with saudi in terms of oil import,
then i agree with you that dubai earns being a middle man, and both countries must trade without involving any middleman, but for that reason we must have mutual trust, without trust we cant depend on each other. especially in such conditions.
