India returns Mangoes sent across LOC

That would be true--if the mangoes were free--which by the way, they aren't.

Somehow some of our Ministers got this idea in their heads"We buy things, they pay tax which their government uses for terror against us" SO WHY PAY OR BUY?

What a retarded logic...

oHHH you sent free mangoes as a sign of friendship right? :D

well judging by the fact that 10 year old kids are getting gang raped and your northeast is constantly up in insurrections it's hardly conceivable to think your delusions of grandeur hold much

Like I said - it's y'alls loss not ours. We're exporting mangos all over the globe so a few mangos going to waste to a has-been miserable lot can hardly be something we would lose a wink of sleep over.

Not true at all. With the exception of middle east, turkey and UK, pakistani exports are abysmally small. Main reason being, the lack of standards and cold storage facilities. They just rot around in your own country.

Indian varieties are available all over the world in much larger proportion.

Fewer Pakistanis will sleep hungry at the end of the day. Much fewer in fact. But that's besides the point.

Is it not Pakistan that has been degraded from Medium Human Development Index to Low Human development index lately by United Nations ? hmm...

HDI counts on many factors other than # of people starving each day...

India takes the reign of the king in that... No one can deny it... We just laugh while you buy $30 billion dollar equipment while 70% of your country earns below $2 a day...

India only takes care of its food that its about to export (does it?)...

The food that is in the country rots in silos... No wonder 50% of Indians go hungry each night...

I will see your 10 year old raped in India and raise you a 5 year girl and an 8 year old boy raped in Pakistan..

and I will see your sporadic insurrections in NE India and raise you constant flames in Balochistan, KPW, FATA etc..

and yet your national news paper and you yourself are taking time to comment :)

I was responding to your countrymen who are as per the norm -polluting our forums with more of your rhetorical garbage and acting as if they're doing US the favor of allowing fruit to cross your side of the fence.

Incidentally, The residents of Azad J&K identify themselves as Pakistanis so I guess it would seem to prove my point. indians find peculiar ways to "stick it" to Pakistan.

Ah well.

This is simply a trade dispute. The Pakistanis are not denying that the origin of the produce was not Pakistani administered Kashmir, the Indian custom officials are reacting as per their brief. This is a matter to be decided much higher up the food chain but I don't see any malice here. I see no reason why products from outside the Kashmir region should not be traded, it might be a good CBM but there must be an agreement to that effect. That would probably involve much more standard Indo-Pak trade practices being refined. An issue but a minor one.

Add EU, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia to the list. The "mere" list you talk about is actually quite substantial as far as econ
Of scale are concerned.

Mere logistical snags prevent us from tapping US market which is already keen to import Pakistani variety. It's been discussed to the core anyways.

More relevantly - your loss

Pakistan mangoes sell at Rs 80/kg in Delhi as against Rs 150-200 for desi variety - The Economic Times on Mobile

Cheers, ladies.

Tomatoes, mangoes list goes on.

Maybe what you say is right, or maybe it's just false pride.

False pride and business don't go hand in hand, especially when security isn't at stake.

But I'll leave it at that :)

but your exports to India is growing by 30%. So how do you account for that??

because people dont take notice of good things, bad things are remembered, its strange but its true
