India really has outgrown the need for UK aid

we r still a developing nation with poverty and ny help should be welcomed.We can get annoyed and rant all we want sitting in our comfy homes but what about the poor who actually benefit from this aid,howsoever small their number may be .

Don't know why people like you even weild the Indian flag when you don't know the reality? Yes, we are not developed, but the minute aid that these chimps give us won't even make a drop of difference.and if they want the million euro back, we too need our jaguar,land rover,tetly back,which creates thousands if not millions of jobs.... So please stop being so naive, it's just beitan who wants to give aid to India ( and later boast about it) even politicians have refused the aid, but can we do if britan still wants to do that? If they think they have more than they can consume , them sure, keep giving us , after all it's the money of our forefathers anyway...

Its just mismanagements of the tories (current govern). More than Aid, we need british help( including help from other internaltional NGOs) in highlighting unknown issues, and targetting the right beneficiary.
If british just blow away their money without any transparency or accountability, then they are exactly like GoI, we dont need their money nor should they give us.

Just coz they live their they don't own the natural resources ...Whats wrong if GoI want to use those resources for Nation Welfare....... this Maoist has made Ownership of assests confused with Right to occupy..... Please , seeing the desperation ( and arrogance) shown by the readers in the comments section, I ask the British Govt to stop the aid (in reality Bribe according to their own admission) and concentrate that aid on the jobless in UK who are venting their anger on the Indians for the failure of their Govt.

And if the Brits are so sticky about how their hard -earned tax money aid is spent and how useful it is, perhaps it is time for the Indian Govt to formally reject any further aid and request the return of all treasures looted from India now adorning the crown and various other museums. The second largest economy, China also receives foreign aid. In fact the largest donor of foreign aid to China is Japan. Japan gives in excess of 1 billion dollars to China. Some of our NGOs do a sterling job and supplement the governmental efforts in development work. If the rich countries provide aid to some of the NGOs, it is OK. It does not however make us indebted to anyone. The selection of the Rafale has proved that beyond doubt. It is childish to spurn foreign aid if it is coming to us.
