Featured India reacts to Pakistan’s move for hosting Gulbuddin Hekmatyar to speak on Kashmir issue

.
My question posed an analogy. I didn't address the Indian angle on his opinion per se, whatever that angle may or may not be.

My point is that the Indian MEA are hypocritical for denying him that right of opinion. It is literally teapots and kettles. Hekmatyar has been PM of Afg on more than one occasion. If Modi can offer credible opinion on international matters as someone who was once blacklisted by USA, UK and Europe for human rights violations, Hekmatyar is equally qualified to provide credible opinion on the same despite being blacklisted by the UN at one stage.

That MEA are crying about someone EX-blacklisted tells a great story that nobody will notice.

So, your question of why Hekmatyar is legitimately given a platform is answered quite simply.

Ok. Fair enough. I will pay more attention to this when posting articles.

That comments under an English language Kabuli news source are in favour of one warlord over another is a meaningless observation, due to sampling bias. If you read the comments section under Dawn articles, you'd conclude that everyone in Pakistan wants Modi to take over our country.

I have never read anything bad about Khaama press here on PDF, so I thought it would not be a problem to post articles from this source.

But I will also pay more attention to this if I intend to post articles from Khaama press.

Please don’t support the butcher of Kabul. Because of his greed for power 50,000 residents of Kabul died in his clash with the warlord Massoud. One of my uncles died because of his relentless bombings that he raged upon Kabul. In Afghanistan we call him Gulbuddin Rocketyar, even the Taliban call him “expired topakyar”.

He’s trying to stay relevant and fall within Pakistan’s good graces, but this is the same guy who disagreed with the Peshawar accords and was the only one who didn’t want an interim Government, thus causing a civil war. When the Taliban set about by bring peace to Afghanistan, only then did expired topakyar want an interim government so as to not lose any remanant of power he had.

Expired topakyar and his family will not have a future in Afghan politics, I hope he prepares to run to Iran once again when the Taliban return, I hope the Taliban don’t forget his crimes against the residents of Kabul.

This is the problem, Salman Rushdie is invited regularly by Hindu india, but the great muslim countries and even Pakistanis dont condemn it, but when a largely irrelevant man invited to speak on Kashmir all hell breaks loose.

Next time when hindus invite salman rushdie, Taslima nasreen Pakistan's farigh office should at least condemn it.

@Pan-Islamic-Pakistan , @masterchief_mirza.

I posted this article, because it was from an Afghan news agency and not an Indian one.

And when you look at the Facebook page of where this article is also posted, you see quite a number of Afghans claiming him to be a traitor.

So, I was not even looking at it from an Indian angle.

I posted this, thinking why Pakistan would, with the current ongoing peace negotiations, invite someone who is seen as traitor by Afghans?

Why is it so hard to see different opinions in Afghanistan? You are using a broad paintbrush to brandish it in service of Indian propaganda yet again.

Afghanistan has several divisions. One is Kabul elite, which is unlike the rest of the country, mostly supportive of any foreign occupation force, whether from USSR or US. Then you have NA remnants which have always opposed Pukhtoons. Gülbuddin Hekmatyar himself fought NA (Sheikh Rabbani, Massoud) for so many years.

Then look above at our Afghan brothers' views.

Also Tarık Fateh who regularly issues blasphemies against Prophet Muhammad saws and his wives.

Let alone what RSSS leaders themselves say about Muslims and Islam, without any restrictions.

India reacts to Pakistan’s move for hosting Gulbuddin Hekmatyar to speak on Kashmir issue

15 Aug 2020

The government of Indian reacted to Pakistan’s move for hosting the leader of Hezb-e Islami of Afghanistan, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, to speak on the issue of Kashmir.

According to local media reports, Hekmatyar participated in a webinar hosted by the government of Pakistan last week and spoke abut the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Hekmatyar said India should “learn a lesson from the Afghan jehad” and the only solution to the Kashmir issue is to give Kashmiris the right to self-determination, according to Hindustan Times.

Reacting to Hekmatyar’s presence in the even, Anurag Srivastava, a spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs of India, said “We have seen the media reports of the participation of the former UN-designated terrorist in an event organised by the government of Pakistan.”

“This is nothing new. Pakistan not only harbours terror outfits but also encourages them. We hope that such participation in public events by a former UN-designated terrorist would not go unnoticed,” Srivastava added.

According to reports, Mahathir Mohamad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia also participated in the event.

I think he is mainly here to help the Afghan peace process, I don't think he has any major voice other than that he is respected by some Pukhtoons for defending them during civil war.

Thanks brother for your post, indeed he is a controversial personality. I wonder if he is functioning in his capacity as an Iranian agent here. Definitely some questions here.

@Pan-Islamic-Pakistan

Why is it so hard to see different opinions in Afghanistan?

I do not find it hard to see different opinions in Afghanistan.

But I do know Gulbuddin Hekmatyar is not trusted by a part of the Afghan people.

And I did not find it a good start for Pakistan to already start talking with people who are seen as controversial in Afghanistan while the peace negotiations are ongoing.

I would have waited until the Taliban has full control.

Then look above at our Afghan brothers' views.

Are you referring to post #19 of H.Dawary?

If so, that is exactly what I meant.

See how the inclusion of Hekmatyar is received by a real Afghan who pleads with Pakistan not to support him.

And you might say that the reactions of the Afghani's below the Facebook post are all Kabuli's or from the Northern Alliance who are anti-Pakistan and anti-Taliban.

But I know you know that H.Dawary is not anti-Pakistan and anti-Taliban.

He just proves my point, which is that not only anti-Pakistan, anti-Taliban Afghans do not like Hekmatyar, but also those who are pro-Pakistan and pro-Taliban.

And I do think that H.Dawary is not the only Afghan who thinks like this.

No one asked your opinion. Pakistan will do what is in out best interest, regardless. You are overstepping your hospitality here.

In peace deal, everyone must be taken into account. Recently too Abdullah 2 was in Pakistan. He is a big critic of Pakistan too.

Hekmatyar and Taliban are enemies, so he won't have much future in Afghanistan anyway.

I respect the opinions of both @H. Dawary And @Agha Sher on this topic.

Unlike you, I don't posit to know more about Afghanistan than Afghans themselves.

Time for should do and not do is over. It is happening. Modi should be ready, because even Taliban has pledged to fully support Pakistan on Kashmir, even willing to send troops.

No one needs to ask my opinion on a forum where I can reply on threads when I feel like doing so.

And when I give my opinion you can ignore it (or ignore me), or you can reply.

If you want, you can also report it.

That is the beauty of this forum.

Do not tell us what to do. If you had your way, Afghanistan would erupt again in war, Afghans and Pakistan would be foghting perpetually, Kashmiris would be left at the mercy of Hindu terrorists of the Indian government, and all of us would accept Israel, leaving Palestinians completely at mercy of Israelis.

I was willing to give you break because you posted only threads, no matter how controversial, however now that you came out with your own draconian and callous views about Muslim affairs, I cannot say I am neutral to you anymore.
