India Provides US$ 12.5 Billion Loan to Sri Lanka

I would have given you such befitting reply that your limbering bananadesh would be flushed down the gutter. But i figured, it will cost me a ban so..... nah... you and your bananadesh aint worth it!!

Calm down Bro! It's just somebody's ignorance which can not become a truth? you know it and I know it and soon few ignorant people will realise the truth.

.
Something is seriously wrong with you my friend...Either it is a bad day or you are just speaking without putting much logic in your assertion....Though i completely refute your way of description however tell me one thing..Don't you think the more we bully these neighbours the more they will be forced to join blocks??? Next day you will find a Chinese Naval Base in our neighbourhood....

You are Wrong. What India is surrounded by are bunch of Failed states. India has 80% of south Asian economy covered, it is a gaint, a mammoth, a phenom, a next superpower.

In my view, diplomating relationship with that barefooted, malnourished bananadesh should be terminated. If you want to find out the reason why, visit Bananadesh defence section for once. They are even 10 steps ahead of Ziad Hamid in conspiracy theories.

This is absurd....US and USSR during the heights of Cold war did not break diplomatic relations and here you are talking about breaking diplomatic relations with countries like BD??? Care to explain how breaking such relations will benefit India???

On the contrary, i hope that Pakistan and Bananadesh should become one country again. Their population density is reaching at 1100 people/Km^2 due to uncontrolled humping. If Pakistan is to be combined with Bananadesh, the whole sh1t would blow by itself as Pakistan consider them to be of superior race and bananadeshis as black inferior muslims.
Though this part do not even deserve a reply yet let me share my opinion....it would be a nightmare situation...A two front war is always a nightmare for defense and offense...right from weapons to logisctics to supply lane...Not only that it increases the strategic depth of enemy....There has to be a reason worth that india helped BD to get independence...Don't you think so???

Relations with Nepal and Sri-Lanka needs to be improved provided Sri-Lanka dismiss chinese and Nepal discards maoist ideology.
These nations will do what is good for them...If you want to have better relations than use better diplomacy tha your chinese counterparts...

India seriously needs to grow some balls, don't need to fight but just let them drag into cold war arm race until they go bankrupt.
what???? India needs to have arm race with likes of Nepal, BD, Sri Lanka??? BUddy you have lost it...Secondly a bankrupt nation is far bigger problem than a stable neighbourhood....Have heard about Mexico viz-a-viz US???

Remember, We control the natural resources, Ocean and economy of our neighbourhood. A little arm twisting and tweaking is necessary so that no one takes us for granted.
One part of your post that make sense...This is where Diplomacy comes in...You win wars without fighting them....Anyways as per current Geo-politics india is doing a good job...

.
@fallstuff : While I don't agree with garibnawaz, but that doesn't help me not to find your post offensive. I won't retort your view on Sri Lanka and LTTE as you're not Sri Lankan and don't know sh!t about their civil war and LTTE, let me post rebuttal of rest of your ranting.

Oh really what game was India playing? Helping Bangladesh to liberalize? Providing shelter to millions of Bangladeshis regardless of their religion in West Bengal or putting a stop to Operation Searchlight! And really what's with your fetish for middle-east, I'm a Bengali myself and fail to understand how middle-east can be influential to BD which is culturally, linguistically and in every other aspect completely in a different league from Arab countries!

We are fighting and we will fight it out like we have done till now.

Who's asking you to be like us! Try to be yourself and try to show respect where it's due. As for myself, I would rather be in India for another thousand years but other South Asian nations where military coup becomes habitual!

Thanks for the kind words.

No one acts without self interest. While the actions in war time were laudable, we could do without it. Your take of history certainly needs more open minded approach. You are not aware of the looting done by the Indian soldiers followed by the war. Almost every military hardware left by the Pakistanis were taken by the Indians. Indians acted more as a mercenary than out of sympathy. The refugees were fed by UN, I am sure the BD Govt. can work out something to pay the rent for 9 months. I would be more than happy to send my share of money for that.

Mujib was using India to print Taka. In 1974 Truck load of food was being smuggled out of the bottom less basket to India. I am sure the half a million lives lost to that famine and truck load of foods smuggled to India more than paid any debt owed to India.

The icing on the relationship came as Farakka. The mighty Padma turns into a creek in the dry season.

You can dress up LTTE history any way you want, but the facts won't change. LTTE was a pet snake of Indira, and duly funded by her. Without her funding LTTE would not be where it was. Fact is Shanti Bahini was a pet project of Indira, dropped by the Govt. following her defeat in late 70's elections.

Would I want the BD Govt. to slaughter minorities like she did in Amritsor, I don't think so.

A fine Indian export to BD is Purbo Bangla Communist Party also known as "Shorbo Hara", a copycat of the Naxals, you don't see us whining about it. We dealt with them. They are still poor, but they don't go around slaughtering Law Enforcement folks.

Thanks to God we don't have folks going around marketing this horrible jingle "Save 600 rupees by aborting the female fetus, so you can save 50,000 rupees in dowry."

I admire the Indian economical growth and hope they continue to do so, but being belligerent is a whole different story.

Sincerely
:usflag:

Chinese naval bases are already propping up in neighborhood regardless of our diplomatic efforts and friendly policies. In reality, our diplomatic relations are just sugarcoated having sour crust.

This is absurd....US and USSR during the heights of Cold war did not break diplomatic relations and here you are talking about breaking diplomatic relations with countries like BD??? Care to explain how breaking such relations will benefit India???

Honesty speaking, if puppet regime in BD falls down and BNP comes in power, diplomatic relations will end spontaneously. No need for us to torn it down. You can't help it, BD desperately seeks to become another Afghanistan. Let them grant that wish. To substantiate my argument (by drawing parallels) , read this

Stable Pakistan not in India?s interest | Indian Defence Review

Two or more front will dilute pakistan's military strength even more. Their Army will be streached thin. Doesn't matter how many fronts a weaker nation opens against a stronger one, its bound to loose. And logistics would suffer more on Pakistan's side with India sitting in between. Hell, it was a dumb idea all together having discontiguous Pakistan in the first place.

These nations will do what is good for them...If you want to have better relations than use better diplomacy tha your chinese counterparts...

Man, haven't you got it already. The crust of problem lies in

* countries (except China, nepal) having overwhelming hate for hindus and somewhat sikhs.
* cultural intergrity. China remains an alien land whereas India is an open book.
* Inferiority complex. No south asian 2x2 country (except India) can ever dream of competing with china.

what???? India needs to have arm race with likes of Nepal, BD, Sri Lanka??? BUddy you have lost it...Secondly a bankrupt nation is far bigger problem than a stable neighbourhood....Have heard about Mexico viz-a-viz US???

I was referring to BD and Pak. Read above article by Indian defence review.

One part of your post that make sense...This is where Diplomacy comes in...You win wars without fighting them....Anyways as per current Geo-politics india is doing a good job...

Seriously, As graib nawaz said, problem lies in NDA alliance dropping their balls. We have to support adversaries of our adversaries. There are nations like Mayanmar, Mauritius, Afghanistan, S.Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, etc who are expecting India as counterweight to Communist China, they are looking up to us as power to fill the vaccum. We are constantly disappointing them and proving them again and again that we don't have what it takes to be a leader, to be a front runner.

You come here and read comments of some "ungrateful" members about how 75 CRPF jawans were killed by Naxals but conveniently forgetting laughable event of how their Banana republic's Border guards killed their seniors with impunity, how close their paramilitary unit came to fight army.

We need to be aggressive, we need to select young blood as our advisors and leaders, we need some bullying and arm twisting in our diplomacy so that nations don't overlook us, those countries need a reality check of what carnage both militarily and economically India can unleash if they go against us. They should praise their lord everyday for India to be friendly to them.

If you really think you could do without Indian involvement then either you’re delusional or trying to escape from what is obvious! I can give you many independent sources from both Indian and Bangladeshi writers but I assume you’re more aware of your country’s liberation movement. Pardon me if I used strong words to dealt with refugee situations but truth is truth and I do wish both BD government and Bangladeshish staying in 1st world countries would do something for their homeland so that endless immigration to Asam and WB can be put on hold, or will you pay the rent for them also. :)

Mujib was using India to print Taka. In 1974 Truck load of food was being smuggled out of the bottom less basket to India. I am sure the half a million lives lost to that famine and truck load of foods smuggled to India more than paid any debt owed to India.

I tried to google the incident but couldn’t find it, but I’ll take your words as truth. Even then why would India government smuggle truck load of food, India wasn’t suffering from lack of food that time as far as know. Seems to me criminal activity than GOI is dirty game! And also truck load food smuggling cause such a major famine is too farfetched! India was not the country blamed for war crimes to BD, please do remember.

The icing on the relationship came as Farakka. The mighty Padma turns into a creek in the dry season.

Hey don’t give these **** to us Kolkatans at least! I think Jyoti Basu himself steered the water pact in 1996 which gives BD their fare share of water, at the expense of death of Kolkata port! Commies, they will do anything to ruin their own house! Water is a problem everywhere, water capacity of Ganga decreased with time, we’re also suffering.
The Water Page - Farakka Water Treaty

Would I want the BD Govt. to slaughter minorities like she did in Amritsor, I don't think so.

Well we concur on this, no sane person would want slaughtering of minorities. But you’re government is no saint, there are zillions of atrocities towards minorities happening in BD and your minority population steadily decreasing from 18.5 % in 1961 to 9.2% in 2001. Surely they are facing no heaven. With all the problems we have in India, I do believe minorities can climb top of the ladder in our country. Remember we have Sikh PM, had Muslim president, Catholic chairperson of largest politically party in a country with 85% hindu population, but off-course there’s still a long way to go.
Thanks to God we don't have folks going around marketing this horrible jingle "Save 600 rupees by aborting the female fetus, so you can save 50,000 rupees in dowry."
Is this a BD vs India thread then I can give you 100s of example of things happening in BD too. We have laws to prevent those folks. Public awareness is more necessary.

I admire the Indian economical growth and hope they continue to do so, but being belligerent is a whole different story.
I do think an economically stable BD is of India’s own interest and India should help BD to achieve that, at least it’ll put a stop to the influx of BD citizens into India.

Saying all these things, I do think India should have been more careful with her foreign policy. To put it in Bengali, "ek haat_e taali baaje na"(You can't clap with one hand.). But as I said earlier Indo-BD relation seems to be going on right direction, think we should move on!

First of all, good news for Sirlanka,

But,"it is a gaint, a mammoth, a phenom, a next superpower" ?? :rofl::rofl::pakistan::china:

@garibnawaz : No offence but you seem to be paranoid with your ideas, expect as much respect from your neighbours as you give them.

Precisely.

Forget what respect I give them.

Think of a nation's (India) respect for Bangladesh and Lanka over the years.

What the nation and its people got back in return is already mentioned in my above posts.

It is very easy to talk peace and respect and blah blah. Convince this to the BSF martyr's families who has lost their loved once against the cowardly BD forces. If you are able to convince those families about respect and peace do tell me. I will never ever have a word against BD nor Lanka.

Here is the link to help you.

All those men who has sacrificed for their nation, your nation to be precise are listed here with their names and address and citations.

This will help you to reach out their families.

History & Role

I have my own opinion which I am free to express, if being a patriot means being a paranoid then I will live with it.

Also you seem to be not updated with the recent development on Indo-Bangla and Indo-Sri relations. With Sheikh Hasina getting 3/4th of the seats and top ULFA bigwig's arrest the relation with BanglaDesh seem to be going on right direction.

I am very well aware on the above. See the fellow BD member's posts here who hates Hasina and wants their Khaleda who is an anti Indian.

What Hasina is doing recently for better India-BD relations doesnt matter for me as it doesnt help me to forget the past so easily. Examples given above in the same post.

Let me remind you again thsoe matyres died for you so that you can come on this forum and give me lectures on friendship.

Sri Lanka just recovered decade long civil war and I fully support India giving aid to Lanka(which must be lot less of mentioned amount here!). It only will help to mend the relation. Show might only where it's necessary, otherwise India might as well be encircled by enemies at every directions. Remember Lanka and Bangladesh might not have strong army but some countries would be more than happy to provide them, given the chance!

With Pakistan getting involved in Lanka and China involving there with Naval bases Lanka is the place where showing might is necessary.

Hmmm lets see, Sri Lanka was way ahead of the pack ( it still has the highest per capita).

Yet they need loan/aid from India. Shame.

Yet they need Indian made vehicles to keep their public transport system alive.

Yet they need Indian Oil to provide them refined petrolium products at cheap rates.

Yet their Navy needs old Indian Coast Guard ships to act as their naval ships.

Pity.

Then Indira unleashed the pet snake LTTE on Sri lanka. It devastated that country. Her son was trying to right the wrong, but the serpent by then had grown and would have none of it. The venom spilled over from Sri Lanka and got to her son.

The sinhala's themselves are responsible for LTTE. All Indira did was supported them to keep the check on Lanka who bye the way used to provide naval support including fuel to Pakistan naval ships travelling from West to East and vice versa.

Rajiv's LTTE policies were wrong and he paid the price.

If the Sri Lankans feelings were hurt , I think they got a decent reason.

Their decent reasons are quite unreasonable considering the security of my country and hence my points on Lanka are reasonable here.

Indira chose to slaughter Sikhs in the Temple on the most holiest day. A reminition of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. It was a cold blooded slaughter to terrorize the Sikh community. She got what she deserved.

If you don't know something please ask.

Indira supported a monster named Bhindranwale to conquer the growing Akali Dal in Punjab as her party Congress was loosing the grip.

She fed a snake who turned out on her. It was not a massacare of Sikhs. It were terrerists who were hiding in their holiest place which needed to be flushed out. Just like Red Mosque incident in Pakistan.

I have always mentioned that supporting Bhindranwale was Indira's biggest mistake which took her life.

Shouldn't you be busy fighting the likes of Maoists and ULFA ? Those dead 75 militia could use a little help from such a brave individual like you.

Apparently the Army has rejected me in SSB interview. The emotion and willingness to fight the traitors is there but the Armed Forces have better men and women than me to do the job so don't worry. As you said in your previous post, Delhi bahoot door hain.

@garibnawaz stop being a laughing stock for all of us here.

I don't represent you. If you don't agree with my posts better argue on them.

@fallstuff : While I don't agree with garibnawaz, but that doesn't help me not to find your post offensive.

Is that the reason why you have thanked him?

I would have given you such befitting reply that your limbering bananadesh would be flushed down the gutter. But i figured, it will cost me a ban so..... nah... you and your bananadesh aint worth it!!

Shaant Gadadhari Bhim Shannt.

BTW it was my first post here, hi all!

:welcome:

Chalo you will remember it forever and so do I, as above all posts, you only found me to start with.
