well so indians did a KARGIL type operation!! before we did it....so i guess kargil is justified!!! and so far pakistan controls the lower adjoining areas!!! this gives indians a clear advantage in terms of a BIRD's NEST view of the area & the indians can keep a watch on pakistani movements....


interesting thing to note about this article is that MUSHARRAF always tried to wrestle things from india....first siachen and then a similar type of operation launched in kargil....

however,kargil and siachen are very different in terms of height and snow....kargil is more drier and more hospitable compared to SIACHEN

Yes, you can say that. India's position is indeed strong in Siachin but not enough to control whole the glacier.

I read somewhere that Musharraf had this Kargil Operation in his mind when he was Maj. Gen. and was presented in front of B.B., by the Chief, who did not permit this op. I think I read it on this forum somewhere.
