Parvin Sawhani once again repeats his point of view on "Cyber War" capacity of China.

In an earlier video he has warned India about Chinese Cyber capacity and stated that the blackout in Mumbai was caused by Chinese cyber attack, but India try to conceal the fact.

In recent comments Bipin has acknowledged that India is legging behind China in Cyber capabilities and in next conflict cyber war would be one of the main battle ground.

Now Parvin is discussing Bipin's recent statment.

Cyber Command is likely to be upgradation of DCA which is already in place.
It is just a presumption that Cyber Space is a neglected area.

Indian Cyber Command is not neglected. Could it be better of course. But with the help of the Israelis and their own capability, they have a decent and robust ability. And they have been working on this for years and in some cases have been very effective. On the other hand PK has had some monstrous failures that have been swept under the rug for expediency sake. This is where I have a tough time understanding PK Army institutional knowledge and lessons learnt approach. The brass always has a cover to shield incompetence or worse. Case in point "brass pushes a particular vendor, vendor does a shoddy job or is penetrated". Penetration happens, institution eventually finds the issues, plugs the gap and says all is fine. No meaningful post mortem analysis or extent of exposure effort. No lessons learnt. Parties removed or shuffled and all becomes quiet. Rinse / Repeat !!. This childish mindlessness with national security is incredibly frustrating.

For example, In both Indian and Chinese militaries, cyber warfare units are clubbed with signals corp. This is a disaster waiting to happen

Unlike Americans who have a specific cyber unit for every command, even the coast guard

Signals has a larger than life footprint on Cyber which is unnecessary. However with respect to India they have a well established C4ISR approach that sits on the side of Signals not behind it. Also India has a very large Civilian and Military Intelligence operations where many of the Cyber capabilities reside and that too is not under Signals. So yes there is some legacy mindset in South Asian countries in this space, but India has at least a 5-10 year head start in this space. And what that head start means is that they are funding more integrated and strategic cyber related projects than they were before. And the support they are getting from the Israelis is helping them significantly. So kudos to them for taking this more seriously than our own boys.

That's why India signed BECA agreement with US. India will be using US satellite data and navigation for its missiles and drones.

I can smell a new yarn about some super duper hackers from Pak who will do wonders--they won't because you are nowhere close to what we have. PS- defacing some pages or chickenshit database breaches don't count- we have plenty of those too.
