Weren't the Indians day dreaming about becoming the largest economy by 2010, then 2015, then 2020 and now it's been delayed to 2030? And that too only to the second position? What's going on, have the Indians started using some of their brain cells or something?

Dreaming is first step towards achieving anything, dreaming to become largest economy is not sin, achievement might be late... i am sure, we will reach there, by eradicating poverty in India. a march of thousand miles will start with a step.

Especially if it's a 2030 prediction which might as well be a hundred years away, for all the good it does.

It doesnt matter if you're the largest econmy or not when your citizens are living below poverty line.
Sadly,Pakistan and Ind have still not fully understood the concept of spending on people.

you're actually right. Unfortunately India has had to focus a decade or so on dealing with Pakistani problems but now that those guys are fixed, may be India can focus on faster growth
