Sorry but that's just a stupid analysis I would say. To put it simple. Why do you think we are having over 700K militry/paramilitary forces stationed in J&K ?? In an event of a highly unlikely event of a full blown war, we don't need to mobilise much forces into Kashmir since we are already there. We will just need to bring in additional forces and even increase the number of deployments along LOC and IB. Nothing else.

And FYI, this scenario is no way similar to 1971. We are never geographically disconnected to J&K unlike West and East Pakistan of 1971. :-)
