So when are you planning to jump the fence to make a better living, like so many of your countrymen? Be warned, if you try that, our border guards will shoot - and that is perfectly within international law.

I can understand that so many bangladeshis want to jump fences to get into a better country, and I sympathise with them, but they should do it legally by applying for a visa - otherwise, they will be shot by the BSF. That's what they get trained and paid to do, shooting illegal intruders.

Whatever it is I have my respects for Italian Govt for how they will go to the extent of deteriorating relations with foreign countries for the sake of just 2 of their citizens. Italy could have easily sacrificed these 2 marines for the sake of lucrative Indian contracts, but they looked over it. Their foreign minister traveled all the way to Trivandrum in a special plane to meet with their marines and moved heaven and earth to get their people out of jail. Even though they are not successful up to now, the marines are kept in a separate building away from general prison population and get special privileges. Hope Indian leaders and nation can learn from this incident on how to take care of our citizens.
