India is worse than Pakistan on gender equality

It is no uses comparing India with Pakistan. Gender inequalities can have dire consequences...it is important that we make sincere efforts to remove this inequality. Anyway, neither is Pakistan great in this area...ranked 116 out of 138 is a point to retrospect

Indians feel complacent if we"re ranked above China and same goes for Pakistanis when their ranking is above India.

This ranking mainly takes care of health issue, not how women is treated in respective country. We DO need to take care of such high maternity mortality rate specially to the lower spectrum of society. We need more health centres and hospitals to the remotest corner of country.

Also we need a huge number of doctors and trained nurses, I don't know why we have such stupid elitist policy of letting only cream of our students to enrol in medical courses. Probably a colonial legacy but a country like India with 12 billion population can't afford such luxury anymore!
