India fails to pass ANTI-CORRUPTION BILL !

comparison for inspiration should be done. what shouldn't be done is ridiculing someone's efforts and looking down upon the less-fortunate others.
does that answer your question?

Well, then you will block everyone's mouth, but it also blocked all exploration for the nature of the problem, is not it? To keep too much defense is not a good thing, sometimes.

India has never been a democracy, its really a political oligarchy owned by wealthy landlords n capitalists who keep sending ppl to vote for them through hook n crook on false promises n keep giving injections of democracy to the awaam. In fact its just like Pakistan where Nawaz n Zaradari own Pakistan, in India its the Ghandis and Modi's. Thats the sad reality.

there's no democracy without transparency,
Landlords and capitalist??? land reform has been carried out loooooong ago when Nehru was still a PM , as for capitalists, you would be surprised until 1991 our entire system was run by so called license raj with govt. controlling most industries. And you should read about our RTI sytem,As far as Modi is concerned , he has no effect in my life directly whatsoever because i live in North east corner of the country and he is CM of Gujarat in west..A personal story of mine i want to tell you , if land reform were not carried out when they were done I would have been tilling soil today instead of typing you this message to you..:D

The problem is the "a night" has been too long, I think even some of the Indians feel it.
Yup ... Can`t go back in time to undo things ,can we?? whatever has to be done ,must be done from here on but with caution..The bill will be debated again in February, let`s see what happens..

(trying real hard to decode your questions)
constructive criticism is always welcome, in fact there are plenty of PK and CN members who give good insights and suggestions. my comment is geared more towards those who are here simply to mock our efforts while they themselves suffer due to corruption.

Oh, the key is that Indians are not always present themselves as democratic? This is a causal theory, the Buddhist point of view.

You are not democratic? Your people will not be applied for the government?

As for your last question answer is clear , we will rather choose slow growth over autocracy any day , no question about it .I don`t know if it is correct to compare cultural revolution with our inaction against the corruption which is ,no doubt, costing us dear.IMO,Lokapl bill is not the end of corruptuion in my country rather it is just a mean among countless others to fight corruption. It is extremely powerbill which gives immense power on the hands of ordinary citizens like me to exercise our right against corruptuion. So the question is are we ready for it ? you know the answer(with great power.......).So the provision of the bill must be fully debated before it is passed

Besides you would agree, i think ,that it is wise to pass a well planned and fully debated law by our lawmakers than just pass a powerful bill under the pressure of people who may not have a fully informed opinion. What happened in the past(previous 9 failures) is not related to present situation (evrytime lokshaba was dissolved before the bill could be passed)Anna and his campaign rightly gets the credit for popularizing the bill but in the end lawmakers should take their time to fully discuss the bill.
I tried to go through the contents of the bill ,but to be honest i m too stupid to understand the immensely mind boggling contents of the subject. If you have patience and intrest you may go through following links

I understand very well that you would chose democracy over authocracy as that would probably mean the end of a united India. Every nation has its own logic in the way it choses to govern. Absolutist Germany was very good buidling the foundation of modern Germany with her many institutions of learning and industry, but it failed due to stupid personal hate to his grandmother (Victoria) and being a late comer of nation building, our Emperor went into war adventures. This led to the chaotic and flawed democracy of the Weimar Republic just to be purged by a crazy dictator that brought desaster to us and our neighbours. But our relatively stable democracy is until today based on the authocratic ruling of the Kaiser despite all his personal flaws.

Wow that sucks Indians. I offer my condolences. I thought the bill would have been revolutionary for the subcontinent.

it will be. don't worry. by the way, if you think passing such laws was a cake walk then pakistan wudnt have been where it is now. its understood that natural tendency of pakistanis to understand complex stuff is nil as proved by your statement.

I hope your was a casual remark. If you had know about provisions of the bill, you would not have commented like that.
Keeping all these Anna hype aside, a bill has to be properly deliberated and amended so as to make it workable. Also, govt does not enjoy majority in upper house, they have to agree to opposition demands.

About it not being democratic, what about Indians like me who oppose the bill.

I do not know who he is, could you said is true, but I read his article, can only say that I have been surprised to intellectuals of India and Pakistan, at least you can speak up, it is good a compared to some of our intellectuals, for whom, or a little more tolerant and cherish it. personal recommendations.

Well my friend, when there is freedom to speak as one wishes, there will be people who would exploit it to the fullest to gain personal mileage.
Also people have found out that one can earn quite a lot by speaking against one's own country. Usually, they are referred to as experts. You will see similar kind of figures rising in your country as more and more freedom is provided in this regard.

Aravind Kejriwal is not a seasoned politician so he don't know how to sugar coat his words - that's one reason he will look rude while he gives an interview...Also many of our politicians are shame less so they will not react even when they are provoked like Aravind K, don't judge a person only based on his interview or handling a press meet...

For many years we used to hear our parents say no one can stop or raise against corruption in India, but this team Anna has shown the politicians what public power can do and united the youths of country under one umbrella to fight against the corruption, now I have hope that in near future I can see a corruption free India...

Bro..Kejriwal was a bureaucrat before he became an activist. The first thing that one should learn is how to behave properly with people. He knows what helps catch attention of people.
Due credit is given by the whole of India to Anna and Team for bringing the subject to the attention of the people.
But they should not try to take mileage from this and keep bashing the govt for no reason. Its pure blackmail what they were doing later when the discussions were going on in Parliament.

Also people of India have shown Anna that they support the cause and show up to protest on the streets when needed.
When the govt is moving in the right direction, they decided that Anna was doing a tamasha on the streets later and did not come out to support him.
People are not idiots my friend. They hold solving the issue as top priority and not the people that take up the issue.I don't have to argue with you on the last point as people themselves showed it Anna and his team in Mumbai.
