India deflecting river courses to Pakistan

.
on this rare occasion i have to agree with the indian members..
Pakistan has no emergency flood management procedures.and no dams to hold the water.
Terbela and Mangla were built when population was 70 million. and since then no major dams been built. Now we are 160 million.

Ya this is the only point against Pakistan , and Pakistan is Paying for this Point Well

probably not as every year PA is too busy trying to determine whre to blast river banks and flood less inhabited areas so as to protect heavily populated cities.
the strategig flood planes used previously to spill the additional water are now inhabited...
so damage cant be avoided

even PA can't do anything because even they try to destroy the dams .. that will flood the pakistan so not an viable option and will be grave violations of international treaty..

India and pakistan need to sit and talk....

I believe that this rivers are thegreat weapons in the hand of indians... the jugular vein of pakistan's economy is go through India

Water experts also revealed that Pakistani engineers are battling hard not only to destroy Indian hegemony over the river waters but also trying to avert possible massive deluge as India is likely to release over 200,000 cusecs of additional water in the river Ravi without prior information to the Pakistani authorities.

“We have credible reports that India during this season is going to releases about 200,000-cusec additional water in the river Ravi, Sutluj, Jehlum Chenab. .

Seems you have plenty of prior information.

Preemptive strike to blame your failure of not building enough dams, on India:rolleyes:

What are we supposed to do, not build dams and let our people die?

hate to say it but you are right!!! monsoons come every year! its our responsibility to build our dams!! but damned politicians use ethnic and provincial differences to stop them being built! pakistan can have enough water to last us a year if we actually make dams to harness the water that comes through monsoon every year!

Unfortunately not always true. You have too many influential & rich feudal families who seem to be able to have the flood waters diverted from their lands & thereby force a lot of ordinary Pakistanis to be evicted from their homes.
