India considers tunnel network on Pakistan, China borders

we have plenty of tunnels in mumbai thanks to the water electricity and municipal dept.atleasst we now have some use for them

It also looks like there are plenty of tunnels in your brain.

. .
Very interesting!

Why? Because I saw some Chinese posts actually predicted this action from India but for different reasons.

In fact, in China’s mountainous areas, immense underground structures are immeasurably complex with who-knows the depth. Chinese militaries are not just talking about second nuclear retaliation capability, but the third wave or Nth wave strike-backs. My understanding is that they have been doing this for 60 years, with accelerated pace since 1960s.

There was reportedly a former military officer from China who sold a secret tunnel to US for a return of lifetime payment of, perhaps, couple hundreds K a year. This costs China hundreds of millions of US$ in loss. (He might have sold fake secrets, who knows. :woot:)

Anyways, India seems again somewhat 60 years later than China on this.

.
the nuclear attack is attack tunnels are not built for just protection from one bomb.

.
Interesting maths this. Sixty years!

Well anything is possible for a CCP comrade junkie.

What was the fate of this former military officer?.

. . .
My bad. It is actually 70 years: the Chinese were already using the tunnel technique in guerrilla warfare during the anti-Japanese war. :enjoy:

Though not with a lot of success apparently! The Japanese did cause some serious damage in China in spite of your 7 decades expertise it seems.

We will show you how to do it right. Just watch and learn. :enjoy:

Who knows. Perhaps "he lives happily thereafter" as a standard fairytale would go.

What?? No princess, no dwarves(for tunnels), no frog and no kissy-vissy. Aww!!!

Tunnels are ancient. There are so many tunnels in indian forts itself. For hiding weapons and people, for secret meetings etc.

Tunnels were used in the medieval times to bring down castle walls too.
The romans were defeated many times by the german barbarians by using tunnels.
Tunnels also connected many towns and cities in medieval europe.

Haven't you seen the kings and nobles use tunnels in many movies as escape routes from castles.

Even the most recent movie Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian shows tunnel warfare as practiced in the medieval times albeit hollywood style.

Go look for information on the Cu Chi tunnels built by vietnamese during their war. They go upto 150 kms in length.
