sarcasm.. this is more more symbolic than substantial..its happeneign for past 10 years btu couldn't stop Doklam.
According to Indians, isnt China aiding the naxalites and secessionists in seven sister states? so whats this about?

Doklam is what changed Indo-Sino dynamics. China realized it couldn't deal with India the way it did during the Manmohan Singh era, which is why it softened its stance on certain contentious issues. Considering that the trade war has taken a toll on China's economy, China now has even more reasons to reach out to India. That is why despite the article 370 revocation and status of Union Territory to Ladakh, Indo-Sino ties ahve been improving. Also note that recently, Ajit Doval and Wang YI held talks on the border issues, and agreed to take steps towards resolving all disputes. Small steps for now, but relations between India and China will continue to improve in 2020.

Oh, and millitant groups in the Northeast have surrendered and are negotiating a settlement with the central gov. Those that haven't were defeated or fled into Myanmar, where they were taken out in joint Indo-Myanmar operations. The Maoists are dying off as well.

Everything is good..everything is hunky dory.. fine and dandy.. you had a deadly year in your red corridor, secessionists of NE stood joined joined hands with Kashmir but still everything is good.

Dont get me wrong..I wish both states the most peaceful relations.. but things dont add up atm.

If what you say is true, why did India suffer fewer deaths of security forces due to terrorism in almost a decade?

Keep in mind most of those deaths were in Kashmir, and mostly due to Pulwama. The number of deaths caused by terror attacks in the northeast can be counted on two hands. Maoist activity has also decreased this year. In fact, the Northeast voted overwhelmingly for the North East Democratic alliance(BJP allied regional parties in the northeast) Most of which supported Article 370 withdrawal. Even fringe groups like the NSCN and ULFA that did oppose India's actions can't do anything because most of their militants have been killed in and the public has stopped supporting them.

why exactly don't things add up? There is absolutely no reason for India and China not to come closer. If anything, China needs it the most, because of the pressure they are under due to the trade war.
