Qatar is not a tough oponent by asian standards but they're better than India so this shows India's progress (which has been quite rapid as of late).

defeating Qatar is one thing, beating Japan, Iran, KSA, S+N Korea, Australia is another thing. India will be ready by 2022. Still has a lot of work.

South Korea tied Maldives 0-0 but a few months before than they became 4th in the WC by beating countries like Spain and Italy. Friendlies are absolutely meaningless. This is a great achievement, but this is just a friendly.

If you ask me, the 2022 target seems to be a little too unrealistic unless the government does something extraordinary about the game in the country. Heck, we don't even have a world class football stadium.
