inauguration of Hindu temple in UAE

Comments: The arrival of the first Hindu cow to the Emirates for worship.
The sheikhs of the Emirates flock, bow to her and kiss her, led by Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and a number of officials
May God protect us from the misfortunes of our rulers

What is the problem with this exactly? There are mosques, churches, Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, synagogues etc. UAE is a country of immigrants. Just 12% of the population is made up by locals.

Indians and Pakistanis are the largest ethnic groups in the UAE. Indians being the largest.
So it makes sense to appease the local Indian community (of which many are Hindus) and similarly to have at least cordial ties with India due to the large amount of trade and India's huge population and large economy.

Those are not temples for the locals. The locals don't care as they are not Hindus.

Let us not forget that there are 5 million native Hindus in Pakistan and 100's of Hindu temples within Pakistan. So a Hindu temple being built by the Hindu community in the UAE and serving exclusively the Hindu community in UAE (non-locals) can't exactly be a controversial thing from a Pakistani POV.

UAE not always acting as we would want it is another topic altogether but that can be said about every country.

India is said to have the highest number of mosques in the world. The Asian state has 300,000 active mosques, more than any other country including the Muslim world.
