Real estate mafia the most ‘powerful’ in the country: Imran

Former prime minister Imran Khan has lashed out and alleged that the “real estate mafia” is the most powerful one in the country.
“You have no idea how much power they have,” he said, claiming that the Lahore Development Authority had informed him about the scale of the corruption in the real estate sector and how money was sent abroad from illegal plot sales.
He said multiple cases were registered on the issue but the police and government departments were bribed and silenced.
Imran also said that state land was encroached upon in Islamabad and added that the state could only enforce its writ if a “powerful government” was present.

New govt will need to take ‘hard steps’: Imran

Lashing out at the incumbent government’s performance, PTI chief Imran Khan has said any new incoming government will need to take “hard steps” to correct the country’s course
“It’s not easy to bring the powerful within the ambit of the law,” he said.
Imran said Pakistan needed to focus on how to attract investment inflows into the country and investors should be especially incentivised.
He said government amnesties should only be provided to those who invest in the country’s industries.

If the Mil-Establishment was any sincere to Pakistan regarding the current economic meltdown and the freefall of the overall economy, they would have specially tasked ex. PM Imran Khan with all the perks and powers, putting him on a pedestal to stop the economic freefall of the country, to do and change whatever he and his team wanted to implement, the roadmap to recovery.

But sadly they aren't, they want the status-quo to continue even at the cost of destruction of the economy and thus the country and people.

Any pragmatic, saner, farsighted Mil-Estab. would have back-tracked, retreated, retrospected to stop the rot.

The M. Gorbachev era Glasnost and Perestroika coming?? We didn't have the wherewithal to stand like Russia did after USSR broke.

It would be worst case scenario.

The problem with your politicans is they are really good at highlighting problems but can never apply a fix.

I am sorry IK, but Pakistanis are too lazy/ scared to support you in large enough numbers.

The corruption king leader had no finance minister in his party. Whose Finance Minister Asad Umar and Hamad Azhar couldn't manage the Finance Ministry even for a few days . The person who has been continuously incompetent and corrupt for ten years in KPK and four years in the Centre. That incompetent and certified thief is now giving an expert opinion on the economy is a good joke

Pakistan's GDP growth rate was 6% during PTI govt, despite Covid.

Working class, farmers were progressing, lower-classes were uplifted using stipends, Ehsas kefalat programs under supervision of Sania Nishtar... The list goes on..

Health card, Single National Cirruculim, Soup kitchens, Establishment of Rehmatullilalameen authority, Stengthening geopoltical relations with Russia, Malaysia, Iran etc.

Hammad Azhar along with his team worked day and night to get Pakistan out of FATF grey list.

That's a whole lot of dump coming from the Butt.

He is truly an unbelievable exception in a nation of Mir Bajwa, Mir Nawaz, Mir Zardari etc. etc. etc.

The problems IK is talking about starts from the lowest level to the highest level in Pakistan. This same is happening in the UK with Pakistanis. I once joined the local Masjid to improve education for the children but the powerful people in the Masjid wouldn't allow any changes, the reason was because they feared their own power will decrease or they won't get the credit and benefit for it, would not even allow something as simple as money collection for Syria because they didn't see the benefit for themselves, they then collected 50k for Pakistan dam and went to distribute in Pakistan with fanfare and Facebook posts. Even the UK born degree holders were the same, corrupt to the core. The same with local councillors, all sellouts but use words like we need our own kind in power.

This same sick and low level mentality is all over Pakistan. People start corruption by licking the boots of the local politicians and then slowly move up the ladder, the weak ones are trampled upon. The strong ones over take properties, land, they get all the big contracts for building houses and roads, they make lakhs and then get government contracts and make more lakhs, the politicians make connections with the judges, police, big business men and they all then stick together to keep their wealth safe. Even a normal good person needs to keep in touch with the corrupt because who will help him when someone overtakes his land and property or harms his family? The police won't even entertain him if not phoned by the politician.

I was told over a decade ago that the army people are the most deadly but according to PDF they were paak and saaf but finally even that has been exposed. Yes at times the elite fight among themselves over the biryani but they then sit at the same table.
