Imran challenges opponents to unite and confront his party
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insafs chief Imran Khan on Sunday challenged his opponents to unite and contest against his party.
The PTI cannot be defeated even if contested jointly by many political parties, he claimed while addressing party workers. Khan said he would transform Pakistan into a country where people from other nations would invest.
I will end drone attacks. Pakistan will not bow to the whims of Western powers. He said corruption was the countrys biggest problem which needed immediate attention and held Pakistans leadership responsible for it.
A huge responsibility lies on the shoulders of PTI workers. All eyes are on the us and as we promised change, we shall bring it. He dismissed the policies of the incumbent government saying the rulers have brought the country at the brink of destruction.
Some seventy million people of live below the poverty line, which means theyre fighting for basic survival whereas single person in the government enjoys a luxurious lifestyle, he added. Commenting on the Supreme Courts judgment against the countrys premier, he hoped that the time had come when the law would supersede. The whole drama of contempt of court was being played to safeguard President Asif Ali Zardaris corruption.
He reiterated his demand that politicians bring their assets back to the country. Those whove kept their assets abroad can never work for the betterment of the country.
